So the net effect of the play/rule is shorter players are allowed to get concussions?
I'm only saying you can't ask a player to crouch to make a hit. Pretty sure Meier is a bit taller, so don't know what Trouba was supposed to do.

Meier isn’t a shorter player, he lowered his head.So the net effect of the play/rule is shorter players are allowed to get concussions?
This is a classic Scott Stevens style hit, and many say that if Stevens played today, most of his big hits would be penalties.Disagree. The hit was clean, the result was unfortunate.
Scott Stevens says hello. Pretty sure nobody complained when he unleashed on people; also NOT penalties.
LMAOI was two games off. So what
Rangers in 7
Are you serious? People are STILL complaining about that Lindros hit. I did a coaching seminar a couple of year ago and that hit was literally used as an example of something that would no longer be legal in USA Hockey.Disagree. The hit was clean, the result was unfortunate.
Scott Stevens says hello. Pretty sure nobody complained when he unleashed on people; also NOT penalties.
Is it possible Drury keeps Gallant. Can’t even get mad about the series, the Devils deserved to win.
Feel bad for Shesterkin who played his heart out.
I can’t see how. When you are a coach who does nothing tactically, shouldn’t you get the blame when the players lack motivation and effort in a big spot?Is it possible Drury keeps Gallant.
I still see no indication of Timo lowering his head. Trouba was going for the head as soon as he lined up Timo. But, whatever…Timo came back…Trouba still a dirt bag.Meier isn’t a shorter player, he lowered his head.
If Trouba made the same hit on a shorter player who didn’t lower his head and the head was the point of contact, it is a penalty and suspension.
Darryl Sutter just became available if you want to make a change. Is it possible Drury keeps Gallant.
If he does, we’re 100% going all in on torches and pitchforks. I’ll buy.Is it possible Drury keeps Gallant.
the complete absence of a forecheck was puzzling.Rangers getting schooled by a structured forecheck and breakout system.
Rangers have neither
You mean the proud NEW JERSEY guy who was rooting for the team from New York? Will Proud eat his words and admit his mistake..pretty much from the last 2 months of the season? or not?
Yeah it's not like the guy getting hit has to be standing straight up for it to be a penalty. It's not a penalty if the person receiving the hit suddenly changes the level of his head right before impact, but that's not what happened here.I still see no indication of Timo lowering his head. Trouba was going for the head as soon as he lined up Timo. But, whatever…Timo came back…Trouba still a dirt bag.
Agreed.Disagree. The hit was clean, the result was unfortunate.

It's exactly the kind of hit we all complain about being called in football. Thank goodness Timo was OK, but after seeing the replays the no call is the right call. How many times have we seen Scottie do the same thing? Shame on Timo for skating into traffic with his head down. He should have known better; they've been after him all series.I don't know whether that IS a penalty by NHL standards. but it should be. If you are going to allow 'big time hits', you also have to hold the big time hitters responsible when they miss the body and hit the head, regardless of whether or not it is was on purpose. I don't think he meant to hit the head, but he did nonetheless.
Don't give up your day job, although your "day job" likely contributes to your often nonsensical posts.I was two games off. So what
Rangers in 7
Different era....different day. Akin to Ronnie Lott roaming the backfield and knocking people into next week. That can't happen today. Tonight and in today's awareness, that should have been a penalty, IMO.This is a classic Scott Stevens style hit, and many say that if Stevens played today, most of his big hits would be penalties.
I think he specifically mentioned the play in goal.Messier agreed with what I said after Games 1 and 2. Rangers weren't even that good, was just that the Devils were terrible.
Scotty was my hero growing up but most of his big hits would be penalties and prob suspensions. Basically ended Kariya’s career. Lindros was never the same. It's exactly the kind of hit we all complain about being called in football. Thank goodness Timo was OK, but after seeing the replays the no call is the right call. How many times have we seen Scottie do the same thing? Shame on Timo for skating into traffic with his head down. He should have known better; they've been after him all series.
What the hell does Messier know? Only kidding. Total respect for him during and after his NHL career.Messier agreed with what I said after Games 1 and 2. Rangers weren't even that good, was just that the Devils were terrible.
Time for him to change his screen name. Besides the Devils, he is not an RU fan.You mean the proud NEW JERSEY guy who was rooting for the team from New York?
??? Messier’s comments were about Devils goaltending in games 1 & 2.Messier agreed with what I said after Games 1 and 2. Rangers weren't even that good, was just that the Devils were terrible.
I think he specifically mentioned the play in goal.
Proud with another great prediction!!!!!He did. But he said earlier the Rangers never looked comfortbal all series. They really didnt'
