He damn well better be. Drury better see what's obvious to everyone else.
How could he not? We’re staring down the barrel of a second consecutive playoff series taking a 2-0 lead and bowing out in 6. With insane amounts of talent and a world class goalie. And despite all that, we can’t enter the zone with puck possession nor can we have any sustained pressure in the offensive zone.

The window is closing. Get a guy in here who can maximize the talent we have.

Funny thread. Rangers were cup favorites on this thread on Saturday and 5 days later need a new coach.
Needing a new coach has not been a new trend from Rangers fans in this thread. Go read through the whole regular season. Many of us have wanted to move on from Gallant most of the season.

Again funny…those saying you’ve needed a new coach all season are the same saying you were Stanley cup champs 5 days ago….

Same people saying you need a new coach are same guys who killed me saying Rangers won’t even get past 2nd round.

Devils completely dominating and smothering desperate Rangers down 3, and still have a half dozen or more Grade A chances

Not me. And not many others. You’re probably just talking about kyk and no one else. Not exactly out of character for him.

What are you even talking about? Kyk I’ll give you, because well….that’s kyk. I’m pretty sure krup was not suggesting we’re winning the Cup.

Sorry. It was to my 2nd point. Getting auger me suggesting rangers won’t even make it past 2nd rd

Ok fine….I’ll let you take that up with him. Point stands that what you’re accusing Rangers fans of is not commonplace in this thread.

Have needed a new coach since december. That remains the same.

Thought rangers would make ecf and go down to toronto/bruins. Still think they will. I cant fathom not adjusting after 3 games. Did it last year too

I’m not going to take the time to dig back a bunch of pages in this thread , but before the series my pick was Devils in 6

If you watched the first 2 games and didnt think rangers were taking this series im sorry but you were smoking crack.

First two games confirmed what everyone has concerns about with the devs

- too small/soft
- too inexperienced
- weak goalie

Miraculously they flipped some switch starting game 3

Devils came with their D- game to start the series and tried to play a game that was different than their style.

Rangers have no answers. They are simply too slow to keep up.

The Devils played their A+ game, not seen since the 13 game winning streak. I hope they can find consistency with it.

Give Igor Shesterkin some credit here, most NHL Goalies would have given up at least 8 goals tonight.

The first two games..as I said earlier in the thread…were more about devils being terrible then rangers being spectacular.

Obviously the Rangers were more likely to win the series once they were up 2-0, but anyone who thinks any series is over after only two games deserves to look like an idiot now. It's not over until you win four games, and there are comebacks in the playoffs every year. It also doesn't matter that the scores weren't close. Look at Tampa and Toronto this year. One game is 7-3 Tampa, the next is 7-2 Toronto, and the next two went to OT. Bouncing back after two 5-1 losses isn't the unpredictable miracle you seem to think it is.

I was happy to see the Devils kept attacking in the 3rd and didn't just try to sit on the 3-0 lead. The Rangers never had a chance to chip away at the lead because they were defending the whole period. Shots were 20-2 in the 3rd.

You’re too bombastic about this (and in general). Yes, the Devils looked like garbage in games 1 & 2. But they were a bunch of newbies to the playoffs, so it’s not a huge surprise. The Rangers benefitted from the Devils lack of experience for two games. They settled in and now here we are….one team adjusted (hint…NJD), the other has done nothing (2 goals in 200 minutes). What you were hoping the Devils would be is not what they’ve become. Sucks, but we have to accept that.

Now, let’s see if we can find a way out.

It wasnt just 2-0, it was 2-0 + everyones concerns with the devils coming into the series proving valid. It was an absolute **** kicking 5-1, 5-1.
