I am extremely familiar with the Toms River North team. They really don't recruit. Instead, they just had a very fortunate 2 year class which has 2 legit high D1 players, a lot of very good players a notch below D1, an absolute ton of size, good health, and (last year) having a soft regular season schedule. Now, has a kid from Manchester suddenly moved to town or a kid from East enrolled (legitimately) in the North academy program - yes - but this has been very minimal. Actually, I expected every good player at the Shore to suddenly "move" here before the season started, but that did not happen. The team should actually be even better and bigger but they lost the son of a Rutgers legacy (Jake Guarnera) who moved to Florida and is currently a Michigan commit.
I am curious to see how they do against the harder schedule this year. Last year's slate was an absolute joke. Would not be surprised to see them get picked off once or twice during the regular season.
