Public School State Semifinals is next week: North 1 vs North 2/ Central vs South. Can’t remember when but winners play in last week of November or first week of December this year at Rutgers
MASSIVE upset in north group 3 with west morris beating old tappan.
Sets up West Morris vs West Essex (my alma mater) once again. Their 6th meeting in the last 3 years and WMC has owned west essex in the playoffs. West Essex beat them last month and I think they do again.
West Essex defense is an elite unit. The offense is god awful but defense carries them. Coming into last nights game, west essex defense had outscored the offense in their first 2 playoff games.

Yes they have. Started last season. Next weekend is the north and south finals. Winner of each faces off at Rutgers for the championship of each group

Mount Olive is not the same school district as West Morris. It might have been many years ago.
BTW, QUICK QUESTION ABOUT NFHS RULES:
Is it really a touchback for the defense if a missed 51 yard FG go into the endzone??? This happened in the Bosco/Delbarton game.

My son’s Delbarton team had a gritty win against Don Bosco. He now gets to face a lot of kids that he grew up playing with who are now on the Seton Hall Prep team in the state semifinals. It will be a special day.
Was this 6 man or 11 man football? Texas has quite a few 6 man teams.
I hate to ask what's probably a stupid question but will anyway. How is the Haddonfield - Rumson Fair Haven game considered a South Jersey Group 2 sectional game? Seems to me RFH is north of central jersey or is geography out the window when it comes to hs football playoffs? I'll admit I've not paid much attention to NJ hs football in a long time. TIA
I don't have an answer, but I did find it very odd that Point Boro, which is SOUTH of RFH was considered Central Jersey Group 2, while RFH is considered SOUTH jersey group 2.
