I'm guessing that means they aren't super-confident in where they're getting, or if they're getting, better information.

The CDC has a lot of good people working there, like all the federal agencies (like CIA, FBI, NSA, DOD). But the prior POTUS liked to disparage them all publicly eventually leading to it becoming a popular thing to do for some. As if any organization charged with handling such immensely complex problems is never gonna make mistakes, especially, in CDC's case, in the face of a rapidly evolving new pandemic. Add in all the disinformation campaigns from Russia and others, aimed at sowing dissention and distrust of the government, and it's not wonder it's so popular to bash those agencies.

But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe people have identified better, more reputable, more qualified sources of information about everything the CDC does. If so, I sure hope people will share those great sources.

I'm guessing the only responses will be yet more populist criticism of CDC with no evidence of anything better.
Of course you’re wrong. You can’t help your narcissistic ways which really are no different than the guy you hate and mentioned above ( former POTUS) Sure they’re all great in your opinion . The disinformation and misguided , confusion caused by the CDC is uncalled for and millions upon millions have become disenchanted with their guidance. Same as the misguidance by the office of JY and by the Fed chief JP. These clowns will sadly be voted or appointed back into the same positions they hold today. Hope you protect your investments properly as the downturn is now official.Enjoy the game.HA HA HA HA HA HA

Yawn. I'm way deep in your head now, apparently. You're following me around like a lost puppy.

Good boy. Sit. Roll-over. 🙂

Anyhow, just some practical information here to pull the reigns back in from some mild know it alls.
Went to the facility in Maplewood today since it wasn’t too far from my office. General area was busy around 4:30pm. Parking available on local streets. Maybe only 15 people in line outside. Security presence and also 2 police officers directing traffic.
Professional place with lots of workers outside handing out “menus” on clipboards. Was there specifically for lozenges for someone as a favor and they didn’t have them for recreational clients. Lady said in a few weeks they will

Anyhow, very nice establishment and just wanted to share an experience. Lotsa supply in general for the herb though. Cash only

The United States

It was pretty wonderful at the dispensary yesterday. I was in and out in 20 minutes.

NJ really has all you can ask for.
If you think we're a free country you're either under 35 years old or willfully ignorant. Glad you got your gram regardless.

I'm all for people exercising. I'm 100% opposed to my government forcing it on ordinary citizens. That would be more fit for a totalitarian regime than any freedom loving country.
You are the one who mentioned it. I only agreed wholeheartedly. It could never be enforced but is highly recommended.

A friend callled yesterday all panicky because she found out the Rochelle Park store required customers to make an appointment and she was out and going to a Phish concert at MSG last night. I obliged and rolled her some bones for the show.
Do other stores require an appointment ?

No appointment in Maplewood was necessary. Haha funny, I was getting something for a friend going to Phish as well. I didn’t go.
I just showed up and parked on a side street and people there were very nice.
Beautiful establishment inside. I’m not much of a weed guy. Went to Amsterdam decades ago and that was that.
But this place was something. Lady helping me with was talking about stuff I had no idea about. Ill go back and get myself some of those lozenges when they are in stock. Not a smoker, enjoy the edible or the mushrooms more for the random weekend when I am home alone.

Going on 40 years. Not sure I would say heavy but still.
To me, it is in the same category as alcohol and cigarettes. Some people may be able to go from being an every day drinker or smoker and quit cold turkey but it is very rare.
But, smoking pot is nothing like any narcotic that is out there. It actually even has a lot of good qualities.

Same here......not sure I would say heavy.
And no one who actually knows me would ever call me a stoner.
It is no different than a drinker who has been drinking for 40 years but not heavy vs an alcoholic. I casual pot smoker for 40 years is not a stoner. But both drinking and smoking Pot can become a major issue for a lot of people.

I cannot use papers unless they are the RAW.

This is my preferred method. No coughing. No chemicals. You place the flower in the bottom.

I cannot touch edibles.
These days I’m using these bad boys since alcohol makes me nauseous as I get older..
Not sure if it’s in my head, but I feel more relaxed and they help me sleep.

Time stamp 1:51 for the people who never smoked but want to try edibles. BE SAFE LOL

When you eat pot it creates 11 hydroxy metabolite in your liver. It's 5 times more psychoactive than THC

I didn’t realize that edibles are not legal for recreational users in New Jersey. They’re afraid of kids mistakingly eating brownies with pot. I guess medical users are more responsible. It would require them to pass another law to get edibles legal. I still have some chocolate edibles that I brought in Mass in January.

I think I’ll get the vaporizer because I don’t really like smoking pot. I have purchase vape but really not as strong as smoking. Will the vaporizer be as effective as smoking?

I did purchase some pot from Paterson, very safe with police outside, with very little waiting line. The state Tax was only $1 dollar for $60 purchase, a lot less than Mass. Pot at Rochelle Park was going for $65. The Bloomfield location always has a long line at least a half hour wait.

They will have recreational edibles. They just need to make sure the supply is there for medical users that need edibles, eg, a kid with cancer that has a medical subscription who cannot smoke.

As of right now they have lozenges in the store. You can buy those.

The vape is effective...you can set the smoke setting if it's bothering you.

Actually I read it has to do with production…

“In order to produce cannabis edibles that resemble food, like brownies, cookies, and cakes, you need a commercial kitchen that can produce these cannabis food items safely, efficiently, and pass health and safety standards. At the time of opening weed sales, the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) did not have the capacity to set up a system for commercial kitchens yet.”
My Davinci vaporizer (above) makes me feel the same way I would if I took a few hits off of a joint. I just don’t stink. lol
I have never used a vape pen with oil. I don’t trust them.
I prefer to see what’s going in and with the vaporizer all you do is load the flower in the bottom.
I haven’t gone yet. Rochelle Park had 100 cones set up and 5 police officers outside. They take appointments only. I can’t be bothered. I’m using CBD for sleep as I said.
I’ll go check out a dispensary when the novelty wears off for others.

They say appointment only but let walk ins in. I was there on opening day and they let me in without an appointment but said to make one next time.

Vapes are great. The best thing about regulated recreation is you know you’re getting a quality product with quality ingredients. Don’t need to worry about weird Chinese chemicals. I’ve hit my vape in the middle of a Target, they are great.

You do have to worry about lazy quality control & rushed production though. The old reddit boards pertaining to NJ mary jane brought to light several instances of dispensaries selling moldy flower or overly dried flower to medical customers.

There has been a lot of problems with quality control with the large Multi state operators. Curaleaf is particularly bad imo. The quality in California and Mass is much better than NJ. Hopefully the new competition will change that.

I’ve tried the vaporizer was not a fan. I loved my pen and oil but got spooked when people’s lungs were getting messed up from it being cut with vitamin E oil but may go back if they have oils at the store. It’s just so convenient you can hit it anywhere

What kind of pen do you use? I had the “kind” pen and when it worked it was great but they always crapped out after a few months
