The cartridge from last week is among the best quality I've ever had, maybe the best. There are definitely a lot of dividends from legalization.

I am very pro-legalization, and I feel basically all drug use should be decriminalized. However, my hot take on weed is that as it has become more commonplace, those who partake are far too willing to smoke around others in public. In NYC, you smell weed over cigarettes at like a 10-1 ratio. Weed smells awful, and I hope it swings back to people being considerate that its stench is bothersome. Similar to how cigarette smoking areas are easily avoidable to non-smokers.
Just finished a meeting with a colleague visiting from Brazil. She is staying in midtown in a nice area. She was shocked at the prevalent smell of weed in NYC. She said not so in other cities she has visited. It's still illegal in Brazil. When I told her that in NJ the regulations will allow police officers to smoke weed off duty, her head exploded. We fired one up after that conversation and she calmed down (kidding).

Better yet when we get to our next bowl game they could design a bowl with the logo on the side as a promotional giveaway

At the moment I don't think there are recreational dispensaries in Middlesex County...seems like a New Brunswick location would be pretty profitable.

I guess significant but pales in comparison to legal gambling. Former “sin” now legal.

It almost certainly costs the state more to regulate gambling than cannabis.

Also at the time, NJ was only the second state to have legal gambling. Right now AC has kind of reached a sweet spot in terms of the number of casinos, but we have a few counties without recreational dispensaries open (at least Hudson and Middlesex off the top of my head- I think Monmouth will have Neptune but not sure it's open yet).

I can also gamble on any number of phone apps from the comfort of my living room, and supply isn't limited. I can't order mj from an app and get it delivered same day...legally

Sounds like an interesting business opportunity for the future.
BTW, my source delivers to my door.....although not always the same day.

I still wanna get the whole "shopping for ganja" experience and learn more about the different varieties available.
Lambsbread from Jamaica has always been my favorite.

Wait till a stud RU athlete signs an NIL with a weed place.
There was this dude on the highway yesterday must have been super stoned he was doing 12 miles an hour in the left lane of hwy 36 which is two lanes . He was causing all kinds of issues on the road. I guess we should get used to stoned idiots on the road. Add this to drunk speeders and we we are screwed.

You see that all of the time in Florida. And the drivers are usually elderly. And ganja is not legal in Florida.
Nice try though.

He must have been?

How do you know he wasn’t drunk? Or tired? Or having a stroke? Or any of a half dozen other things that might explain it?

I’ve got a friend who got pulled over a few weeks back. He’s about 50 years old. He was apparently driving very erratically. After a long stop, the cop let him go but only after he promised to see a doctor that day or the next day. Long story short, the guy had a massive brain tumor, was admitted the next day and they operated a day after that. Cop might’ve saved his life, although the biopsy showed stage 4 cancer, so the jury is out on that.

Also, someone who hops into a car inebriated wasn’t the sort of person who was waiting around for pot to become legal in the first place. So legalization has nothing to do with it.

Leaping to an unprovable assumption that he was stoned on pot might fuel a narrative. But that narrative existed forever and is entirely unchanged by making pot legal. Because driving impaired was illegal all these years, and it still is today.

I’m looking forward to the Kbee3 trip report when he visits a NJ recreational weed shop. The insight we can gain from his on-site review will be pure gold.

When are you going?

Interesting article regarding the smoking of marijuana weekly. It appears by smoking at least once per week your chance of a heart attack increases dramatically as you get up in age. So you over 40’s should be careful.

Sounds like they should make driving while high, driving while drunk, and speeding illegal so that nobody does those things. People driving too slow never happened before weed was legalized!

Are the dispensaries allowed to advertise? That will really blow some minds.

"The second quarter is brought to you by Verano. Mention the discount code 'Scarlet Knights' for 10% off your next order of 14 grams or more..."
I actually used to work at the plant here in tampa. Lol. Verano is very organized and meticulous w their products.

almost as bad as the time I saw a girl riding a guy topless while he was driving on the AC expressway. He just looked over at me and smiled as i gave him a thumbs up.

What is the best way to smoke the newly legalized marijuana? Should I get a bong? Other type of pipe? Will they sell pre-rolled joints?

I *think* that the healthiest way is probably dry weed vaping (i.e. vape the weed, but not cannabis oil). At least, that's what I've been reading.

Edibles can be healthy, but take longer to have an effect and if you overdo it, which can be easier to do with edibles due to the delayed effect, you're gonna have to take some Vitamins C and B complex, stay inside and listen to some music, ideally some Allman Brothers.

Most if not all will sell pre rolls. Personally, I smoke just about every day but I smoke a very small amount at a time so I use a hand held bong or pipe.

I'm old, old, old school....I roll my own. It's really not that hard to master.
Besides....it's legal. Who cares about the smell ?

Some people do not like the smell. Legal or not..
I’ve noticed older folks love the smell and burn & hate the vapes.
I took a puff this AM and no one would ever know. I couldn’t go about my day smelling like I came from Woodstock.
