When Colorado is newsworthy, they are bigger than all the other pro teams except the Broncos.

I was over on the Michigan State board (247 site), and to a person they had nothing but negative comments about CU. Mel was wise to leave because they turned on him. One poster said Colorado is in the same boat as Rutgers. Neither program has accomplished anything in football. Michigan State and Colorado don't cross paths, but their fans seem to have an inferiority complex. That sounds like what Indiana has against us. 😁

Well I’ve been here for 2 years and up until yesterday they talked squat about CU football. they talk more about Colorado state and Air Force. Yes broncos rule but mostly negative stuff on how BAD the team is. Cmon Denver let’s ride, lol

Air Force always gets respect. When it comes to the sheep, I'm shocked anyone talks about CSU. Wyoming got more airtime than CSU. There has been an inferiority complex with MWC teams for as long as I can remember. CU left those schools to join the Big 8 long ago, and they've been butt-hurt ever since.

I understand why you said others get more airtime, but that's a recent thing. CU has done crap in years. If you were there in 2016 when CU went 11-2 and won the Pac-12 south, you couldn't find CSU or AF in the media because it was CU this or CU that. Now that Sanders is there watch the shift to CU talk in the media. The local press would film Primetime taking a crap if they could.

I told him (Hagan) that Primetime might have a problem if they let you go. Outside of Supreme Court Justice Bryon White(RIP), he is the next untouchable at CU.
The young 'uns may not know that White was a star running back at CU who was the Heisman Trophy runner-up in 1937, was the fourth overall selection in the NFL draft and led the NFL in rushing yards in his rookie season. White later graduated Yale Law School first in his class, and, after a distinguished legal career, was appointed by President Kennedy to the Supreme Court, where he served for thirty years as a very independent-minded justice.

Added to it.

We'll see. It's easy winning in the swac with superior talent, not nearly as easy vs P5 teams. Does Deion even care about academics? Are the players going to be disciplined?
You think a player can be a HOF football player and plAy multi seasons in MLB and not be discipline. Deion has always been straight up about his talent, don’t let the flash fool you his player will toe the line or be gone.

This is a monster hire for Colorado. Sanders’ combination of relentless hustle and steelo is going to pay off tremendously. Can’t wait to watch his teams play.

Huge bump in spring game ticket sales - with 2 months to go

"For the first time, Colorado is selling tickets to its spring game, which is 2 months from tomorrow. So far, the #cubuffs have sold 30,013 tickets.

For perspective, CU counted a total of 30,450 fans who showed up (for free) to the last 7 spring games combined. Last year: 1,950."

I follow Sanders on Facebook
His style is very much like an olde tyme country preacher.
He often quotes bible, philosophers etc.
He's mentioned that the AD is a "soulful" man so I'm sure he made it clear to Colorado what his style would be like.

Colorado has huge lead in transfer portal

They rather have the same old same old with Schiano than hire Sanders and a competent staff, have more online/ social media team coverage, have a bunch of 3/4 stars transfer to Rutgers, sell out the Spring Game, have a huge jump in season ticket sales, have some hope for the future, etc.
