Since 2006, Indiana does observe daylight savings time. The confusing thing in Indiana is that most of the state is in the Eastern time zone but there are 12 western counties in the Central time zone. We drove across the southern part of the state on our way to Kansas City and the clock on the satellite radio re-set itself several times as we drove through the different counties.Originally posted by BoroKnight:

When I was in grad school in that state, I contended the real reason they chose to stay on standard time was that the average Hoosier never could figure out which way to turn the clocks, and after a couple of years most of them would be a day or two behind everyone else.
