The rookie home run record is 49, by McGwire for the A's. It's stood for 30 years. Vegas is giving 5-2 odds on Judge hitting 50. Rookies are notorious for second half slumps, but somehow Judge seems different. It will be fun to watch, that's for sure
Indeed, it has been fun. [cheers]

Judge is at .270 for his career and it's dropping like a rock. With his small sample size, his career BA could be .250 by the end of the season. He also has a K in 30 straight games, which is extremely Dunn-esque.
I guess someone has some crow to eat. Judge's first season blows away Adam Dunn "best" season ever. And he plays great defense. That comparison was dumb from the start and looks much worse today!

Criminal if Judge doesn't win the MVP? Setting up as a two man race between him and Altuve. Judge should win easily. Better OBP, more runs scored and just blows Altuve away in the power stats.

Yea, I'm gonna,go ahead and disagree. 14 Ks in 17 ABs? I don't have the stats, but I bet Dunn never did that.
And what is this weird thing in this thread that claims Judge is a great defensive OF? I don't see it.

Well that just proves you are a Yankee hater and hasn't a clue. You don' have to go beyond this series when you missed his game saving catch in game 3.

I saw it. I also saw him misplay a ball, I think in game 4? by running a terrible route. He's a decent RF. He's not great. I played OF my whole life. I'm not a hater by any stretch.

20 At Bats, 16Ks in the ALDS. Batted 0.050.

I bet you're creaming your pants over that stat as you've been obsessively tracking his stats even in the Yankee Playoff thread. Apparently bashing Yanks it's all you got to hang your hat on as a Mets fan. The Pathetic-ness grows deep with you.

The Kid is still a rookie who by most normal standards would have been given a break during this series based on the struggles at the plate. However he's already a team leader by example and on the field even as a rookie and one who has already experienced and overcame struggles. That is the outlier in this situation.

Cry harder.
I congratulated the Yankees, and said Didi looks really solid.

I'll bet they're not so annoying when they have a worse record than the Mets. That was like what.....two weeks in April ?
Jealousy is such an ugly thing.

LoL. You come on Yankee threads to troll and you guys had Yankee fans removed from the Mets thread only to come here and incite Yankee fans. Enough said about who is more annoying.

After Game 2,Every caller wanted to hang Girardi, then after Game 5,it was All Hail Girardi,Lmao. What a fickle fanbase.Enjoy the ride,ShortBus

You do realize your Mets have playing golf for a month now and the Yankees were in a 0-2 hole against Cleveland
15 days is not a month,"you must have majored in math" and yes their playing golf and had a **** season after plenty of baseball experts expected them to be where the Yankees are right now. Those same experts are now saying the Yankees look poised to be a front runner for years to come. Lets see how that works out since their always right.Yup, they were down 0-2 to Cleveland, but I don't see the Astros choking like the Tribe did.It was more about Cleveland losing than the Yankees winning. A team that led all of baseball in fielding and close to hitting also, playing so bad in the field had nothing to do with the Yankees.Looking more and more like there will be "2" NL teams in the WS

Wow you guys are the dumbest circle jerks on this board. Wash up when you are done
You're eight. This one good game at the plate definitely means he's the next Babe Ruth. My bad.
It'd take years, but I'd be willing to bet a lot of money his career HR total ends up closer to Dunn than Ruth. And his K total too.

Hey, I didn't call Cleveland a loser town. But I have enjoyed the Mets demise nearly as much as I've enjoyed the Yankees rise.
You didn't think you'd be able to talk all of that crap about how great this Mets team was gonna be and how weak the Yankees squad would be this season and then not get abused when the Mets were fighting the Phillies for the basement in the NL East and are now I guess on the golf course while the Yankees are playing a very interesting AL Championship series vs. the Astros, did you ?
Hopefully, the Mets leadership will break out the checkbook and they can buy their way back into relevance in MLB in 2018 and beyond. Otherwise, just try to stay ahead of the Phillies.

I'm so sick of the anti-Judge crap everywhere. He has played in 2 playoffs series thus far, in his 1st playoffs, during his ROOKIE season, against the game's best staff (Cleveland) and arguably the best 1-2 starting punch (Houston). Jose Altuve has played 6.5 seasons, is in his 2nd post-season, and 4th post-season series overall, as well as being a 5-time all-star and a 3-time AL batting champion. I love Altuve's game, and thinks he deserves the MVP BUT... Here are their stats through 4 games in THIS series (I think):

Altuve: 6/14, ZERO RBI, 2 K's, 4 BB, 0 HR, 1 error
Judge: 4/13, 5 RBI, 6 K's, 4 BB, 2 HR's, 0 errrs

Very fair, and true, except I find it hard to believe after reading your posts for 2 years that any part of you wants to see the Mets have success and be relevant in 2018 and beyond. It's easy taking the high road when the Yankees are playing great baseball, most times you don't, and yes, I haven't this year either, lol.

Stay on the Flushings board unless you switched over to being a Yanks fan now which would be smart.

You are correct. I enjoy every Mets loss immensely and since I also enjoy every Yankees win.....I'm having a pretty good year.
I was attempting sarcasm. Come on....when do the Mets ever break out their checkbook to improve their team ? Besides, if they ever actually did, I'm sure the Mets fans here would object to their Amazins trying to buy a championship.
It's a bad thing to go out and buy expensive free agents, right ?

What times the game today, and how much did you miss, lol. You have to feel a little foolish, spelling out your whole itinerary as a super fan and not knowing the game time.Don't stress, it WAS 5 o'clock somewhere!!!!!

Once I got to the bar and start watching the Yanks took over the game, I'm good luck.

Lots of fans with tickets coming into Penn Station were unaware of the dumb 5:00 start.

What time is the Mets game today?
