"In his statements to the Title IX investigator, Tucker acknowledged masturbating on the call but said Tracy grossly mischaracterized the episode. According to him, they had consensual “phone sex.”"

I dunno guys... this is just so dumb... I smell something fishy. Not buying it. This is just so odd.

From Lansing State journal
The two had become friends and admittedly flirtatious after Tucker brought Tracy to campus twice — once to speak to his team, once to be the honorary captain at the 2022 spring game. Tucker disputes Tracy’s claim, saying the act was consensual. She filed a complaint last December, which led to a Title IX investigation — by an outside attorney — which wrapped up in July.

And here is someone who makes her living out of being a rape victim and she has this unbelievable thing with Tucker? I suppose Tucker admitted it.. but said it was consensual.. that puts the ball in his court to prove it was consensual.

But look at this commercial enterprise called https://brendatracy.com/

Something's fishy about all this...
As I was reading and piecing together the timeline, was thinking to myself about the huge donation that led to his $95 million payday and that they may have wanted a backup plan to get rid of Mel if he did not pan out on the field. But the other part of this that throws cold water on that theory is that would they be dumb enough hire a gang rape survivor who is talking to the football team about accountability? Very doubtful the story is "fishy." What Brenda Tracy went through is real, and the memories remain, particularly when something like what happened with Tucker happens more than 20 years later.

Well even if they had a consensual relationship ya can't do what he did with a co-worker. And then you can't admit to it to an investigator. And you have to be an idiot to do something like described with a person described as "making a living out of being a rape victim". Plus if I have to hear about these perverts I say fire them.

Show some friggin discretion in your life.

That said if he dressed up like a drag queen and simulated sex in front of kids he'd be a hero.

Anyway, I'll close with... Dumbass.

I don’t know if Tucker’ll still have a job, but his soon-to-be-ex-wife has been dialing up divorce attorneys and will be seeing a lot of that Michigan State money.

yeah.. you're right.

As far as the woman is concerned, it is very possible she was just interested in repeat business from MSU and any flirtatiousness was just salesmanship. Still not sure how a phone call, no matter how creepy, make you relive a horrific gang-rape.

Even if it was "consensual" and this is some kind of weird move by the woman... someone pointed out he is married with children.. and certainly should have been.. careful? Even if he's attracted to someone and confused "interest" on her part which could be for repeat business.. with something sexual.. he did not have to act on it.

I have turned around on this one, I think. Even if you want to step out on your family it doesn't have to be someone you met professionally. Then again, if he hired some sex worker and that sex worker went public, I think MSU would still be looking to boot him.

“Tracy alleged in a Title IX complaint — which is being handled by lawyers hired by the university — that Tucker repeatedly made sexual comments and masturbated during a phone call on April 28, 2022. A report that resulted from that investigation was delivered to the university in July.

There will be a formal Title IX hearing during Oct. 5-6 — during the Michigan State idle week in the football season — to determine if Tucker violated the school policy banning sexual harassment and exploitation.”

So they’ve known about this since July and are conveniently using football’s bye week to hold a hearing? Priorities misaligned there, MSU?

The story is just so odd... at what point does the woman hang up on him or tell him to f' off? I just don't understand any of this... from the woman's angle or his. MSU's angle.. now? Yeah, I get that.

you can do that with a co-worker if consensual. doesn’t matter if with wife or girlfriend. that’s the only thing that matters in terms of his contract. They can fire him of course but if consensual he still gets paid.

the differences between this and Petrino are that he hired his girlfriend and was her boss and that he lied about the relationship and motorcycle accident to the police and administration.

Petrino's career isn't over because he's a much better coach.

Yep, a proud graduate, undergrad and law school, of Harvard. Except he masturbated on camera during a Zoom video call with New Yorker staffers and a radio station. He is CNN"s chief legal analyst. But he works for the media company that is self-righteous and on the "right" side of questioning the moral turpitude of one side's politicians. So he gets a pass because Toobin was just tubing.

He's a real upstanding guy. Happily married, but "Toobin had a longtime off-and-on extramarital affair with attorney Casey Greenfield, during which she became pregnant with his child. Toobin reportedly offered her money to have an abortion. When she refused to do so, he threatened that she would regret it if she did not comply." He denied paternity and was ordered by a court to pay child support. But that's all OK.

He and Mel should make YouTube videos- Nip and Tuck with Tubin and Tuck. They could dispense relationship advice and how to get out of sticky situations.

FWIW, I think CNN should have fired Toobin.

But there some very big differences between the two cases. Toobin worked for a private company. Tucker works for a public university. Also, Tucker is responsible for setting an example for student-athletes.

I agree mostly. But Toobin is influential to loads of people as the "Chief Legal Analyst." Brainless idiots on both sides of the aisle listen to the missives dispensed by losers like him (and all the other networks of all sides) and think that because he went to Harvard and holds such an important position, his opinion matters more than others. Most people who watch either turn a blind eye and continue to nod in agreement to what he says, or have no idea. So, I think keeping him is equally worse. He is obviously a horrible human being with a horrible problem, and I am speaking to what he did on camera and what he did to the woman he impregnated and the child he failed to support until forced by a court.

We are in agreement. I should have gone further in explaining why it matters that Tucker is a public employee. There’s going to be a lot of pressure from residents on state and MSU officials to fire him, and they are obligated to respond to it. A private entity can also get a lot of outside pressure but is only obligated to respond to its shareholders.
