Sure! Amazing having all ten top ten Billboard Hot 100 songs at one time (first time ever - Drake had 9), although the way charts are now is much more prone to manipulation than in the old days. Lead single and video are pretty good...

Ok boys and girls, I just heard the coolest new song I've heard this year, at least. It's "Cash In Hand and Fake IDs" from unsigned South Yorkshire indie rockers, The Reytons and it blew me away from the opening riff through to the end. Their 2nd album comes out in January. And that riff really reminds me of a fairly obscure old Rocketship (twee-ish band from Cali) song from 1996 that our son discovered and got me into back when he was about 15 - that song is in the 2nd link. Give this one a listen:

I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adults experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry."

I had no idea this was coming out. Hopefully the album is heavier and real good.
It's kind of Ride The Lightning in feel... but...sanitized, corporate-ized, but much better engineered and produced...I give it a solid meh.
It's a good song. Going to see them tonight at Brooklyn Steel, with a stop at Di Fara's for one of the best pizzas anywhere. They've been at the top of my list of bands to see, live, that I haven't seen before, and reports are that their 20 night residency in Brooklyn (where they got their start) is going great.
In a somewhat similar vein, here's my favorite new song, by Panda Bear (from Animal Collective) and Sonic Boom. I like Pitchfork's description: "infectiously catchy" - and have always loved Panda Bear's vocals (very Brian Wilson-esque). Much of the album uses 60s pop tunes as starting points or riffs in the new songs, including this song, which uses the Randy and the Rainbows song "Denise" as the jumping off point. Give it a listen...
