Another new single from Alice Cooper, who does not deviate from his monster, gore formula. Frankenstein!

I have heard the name Jelly Roll here and there over the last year. I’ve just started listening in depth to some of his songs, pretty impressive in my opinion

Real quick.. don’t want to derail this thread…
I had no
clue who he was. I kept seeing this very obese man with a fit, very flamboyant blonde. I instantly thought gold digger. Turns out she had the money(ex-prostitute) and he was poor. He was on Rogan and I gave it a listen.
His backstory is pretty rough. Seems like a decent
guy who is grateful for where he is.

Not a huge fan of the music, but some of his lyrics are deep.

Just DJ-ed the BBQ for my old department last week (about 100 showed up), like I did for 20+ years when I worked there. First BBQ they did since COVID and I had DJ-ed the last one when I still worked there, so they asked me back - I had a blast. I had a decent selection of new songs on the playlist. Here are a few, below. Also included several from the recent past which I or others have posted, such as Noah Kahan's "Dial Drunk," Boygenius's "Not Strong Enough," Thee Sacred Souls's "Love Is the Way," and the National's "Tropic Morning News." Tons of great older songs of all genres on the playlist, too, as usual.

The appropriately reverent, IMO, cover of Fast Car (originally by Tracy Chapman)...

Cowboy Nudes by Brooklyn indie band, Geese (it rocks; lead singer has an incredible voice)...

Mona Lisa by Dominic Fike (interesting pop, for me - it's in the Spiderman soundtrack)

Swooning by JW Francis (great indie rock tune)

Don't want to derail this thread, because the OP gets persnickety, but is the recipe for success now to have a plethora of face tattoos? When is Mike Tyson going to have a hit song?
Not sure why anyone would do that to themselves, and I like tattoos.

Fan of Ed Sheeran (amazing concert at MetLife!) and I’m starting to like Luke Combs as well.

Aaron Lewis sounded amazing. It was fun..I saw lightning, a rainbow and a lot of tattoos! Lol
I’ll have to start a thread on concerts cause I’ve been to quite a few in the last few months.

OP is going to yell at me, but thanks for asking about the concert 😂😉
Great. Yesterday I went to see Here Lies Love on Broadway. What a fantastic show, not like any broadway show I have seen before. We had a lot of fun. Audience participation is a must. Hope OP doesn’t yell at me now.

I just found out about this band, Ghost Hounds based out of Pittsburgh, PA. This is good, they remind me of a band out of LA, Vintage Trouble:

One of my favorite "regular" rock bands, The Struts- new single from upcoming album out Nov. 3 . Maybe others disagree, but they seem very Stonesque wiht a hint of Queen thrown in. Saw them live inside the Stone Pony pre-pandemic, and they put on a fantastic, fun show.

This guy's been blowin up the interwebs past couple of days. He's got quite an Old School sound and soulful chops:

Nice resonator guitar. As for the song, I can understand the frustration, anger etc. The technological revolution of the last 30 years has left many behind, similar to when the developed world transitioned from an agrarian to manufacturing economy some 130 -150 years ago. I just hope the answer isn’t a turn toward political extremism of any stripe.

EDIT- Umm whoops, did not lock into @RW90 's post above. Was thinking of @RUGuitarMan when I posted this below. Maybe @RUGuitarMan would be surprised that I like this. I put this in the same category of the "louder" music I like-it has a lot of balls and soul to it. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. It all comes from the heart, but comes out in different ways and at different decibels!!!

This song and video are going viral, unfortunately for some wrong reasons. Powerful performance from a self-described former factory worker who lives in rural Virginia as a farmer. Very powerful song with some provocative lyrics.

great song that is resonating with many...unfortunately the snooty aholes at Rolling Stones taking digs at it....remember they celebrate Cardi B licking guys taints as powerful
