If Baro and Reimer can hit, they have a chance. As both have the glove IMO.

Serrano looked the part last night. But I don’t think the BlueClaws pitchers were that good.

Amazing how many pitchers are carried at this level.

2 balls that McNeil needs to at least knock down and keep in the infield. Definitely the last one where Taylor was playing super deep. Play the situation.

Nice bounce back win after difficult loss. Pitching us there, still not hitting much.

Hopefully Minter is ok.

Hope Minter is ok but it seems IL stint will be occurring. Mendoza didn’t seem that positive in the post game.

Was thinking about going to Mets game tomorrow but will be going to Devils game instead!

Fwiw I have been to 2 Mets games this year at Citifield. In both games the person sitting right in front of me has caught foul balls. Lol.

BTW- how weird to be 19-8 and not feel we are playing well.

I don’t expect our pitchers to continue to be under 2.50 era but watching them- I don’t expect a prolonged explosion either.
This team could end up with a combined ERA under 3.5 for the season

It just feels like something special

And with Soto/Nimmo/Lindor locked up for a while and Vientos/Acuno/Alvarez/Baty under control for a while.,,this could be a fun decade- let’s keep Pete.’

With Nimmo and Soto struggling, along with vientos fairly slow start would you consider flipping the order? Vientos 2, Soto 4, Nimmo 5? Or Nimmo 2? Pete is on fire so don’t wanna risk that but need to get Soto going

I prefer Soto at the 4 spot

Mendoza said Minter is "most likely" headed to the IL. He will be getting an MRI today. Mendoza added, "Even if we get good news, with a pitcher, you gotta be careful."

Some insane Statcast FB numbers from Raimon Gomez yesterday. Another one to follow. We have a lot of interesting arms in the system right now.

Urena up for Minter for now.

Mauricio will begin rehab games in at Lucie. Was playing in extended spring up until now.

Boy did they phuk that up. Start with twice not getting a runner in from 3rd on back to back at-bats in the eighth. And then, reminiscent of too often last season, not being able to execute pitches to put away batters with 2 strikes.

And of course hindsight is always 20/20 but I was honestly wondering at the time; why not pinch hit Winker for Marte in the 8th?

McNeil has been solid to good during his career in every position he has been asked to play. I really like Acuna but knocking McNeil on this isn’t valid
Who is the better defensive 2b?

Acuna is.

It’s not a question of what McNeil has done over his career. Its who is the better defensive 2b on Friday. April 25.

Acuna should have been in game In 9th inning on Friday

Very simple

Heard Minter has torn triceps. Looks like out for year ! Tough blow !

Unfortunately bullpen was due for an implosion.

Terrible time however for it to occur !
