Even if they should back in it seems almost time to turn to who should go who should stay conversation.

The Mets have been a streaky team all year. They've had two 7 game losing streaks and two 7 game winning streaks this season. As an outsider looking in this team has the talent to beat anyone in a short series. I sure as heck would not want to see them in the playoffs.

Oh boy, in a crazy Democratic soon to be Socialist city like NYC, Judge just lost a ton of fans because of their crazy hate for Trump.

Don’t know if this team is capable of making the playoffs.

Signs were there 4-6 weeks ago of complete breakdown.

Hopefully a win against degrom tonight can change trajectory of team for rest of season ! I like to dream !

Still breaking 125 year old records ….it’s going to take something magical/historic to break the curse …Red Sox broke the curse after making the historic 3-0 comeback vs the Yankees

Maybe the Mets first 9th inning comeback win will get them in playoffs on the last day of the season and lead them to a 7 game win streak to start playoffs

6 pitches !!

Going to get real ugly in the stands tonight

Glad nobody over reacted and fired a few of the Mets coaches

Where would the Mets be if they fired Hefner , how could they ever survive without Hef ???

Lots of nice guys who are easy to like but they are SOFT as baby $h-t.

Alonso was hit all last year and the most upset person involved with the team was Ron Darling . This team should’ve been in 3 huge brawls not one shouting match with the cards which was started by Arenado

This may be worst than being 7 games up in first place with 17 to play. Turns out it was just enough games for the Mets to be caught and passed. No playoffs. Miami gave it to the Mets in that season ending series. This time around the Mets are giving it to themselves. Risen and repeat.

Since 6/13, this team is 31-47. Should tell you all you need to know. Not a playoff team, if by some happenstance they qualify, will be a quick exit. No pitching.

Pitching philosophy comes from your coaching staff and mainly the pitching coach …….6 RBI…. SIX… S I X Six rbi on 0-2 counts

Fortunately, the games played prior to 6/13 also count.

Speaking of counting, there'll be time enough for that when the dealing's done.

The team seems to have just given up. Funny as it may be- soto may be the only player with life in him at this point. And I am sure that part of that is that he is actually going to go for a 100/100 40/40 season

The team's personality is usually a reflection of the manager. Mendoza strikes me as an easy going guy who thinks "we'll get them the next game." Unfortunately, there may not be enough games left to think that way.

Honest question - how can you tell if a team has given up? I know that I lack that expertise.

There is no more damaging pejorative in sports than "quitter". I for one will not go there, unless I have a reason to, which I don't.

What made this outcome more bitter is that on the preceding pitch, Bailey had struck out. Third strike foul tip which the catcher caught. However, the ump incorrectly ruled that the ball had touched the ground, and allowed the AB to continue. Play is not reviewable.

At least the Reds lost.

That said, unless the Mets turn it around pronto, there's no point in watching the scoreboard. Someone will catch them.

There are certainly enough games to think that way. If there were zero games left that would be enough, as the Mets are still in a playoff position. Just barely, but they are still there.

Anyway, Mendoza is who he is, for better or worse. He's not changing now.

That wasn't Bailey. That was the CF Lee two batters before him. What should have been his strikeout would have been the 2nd out. But instead he walked on the next pitch, and after an intentional walk to the next hitter to load the bases and set up a force; Bailey hit the 2nd pitch from Tanner Scott for the grand slam. I guess the pitch to Lee which was deemed a foul tip that hit the dirt(it didnt) was not reviewable. Or maybe LA did not have a challenge. I only watched the game from the time Lee was at bat.

When does the spring training schedule come out for 2026?

Had a great time last year and looking forward to possibly go again. Highly recommend if you can do it. There was a lot more access than I thought it would be.

Disclaimer: Not a giving up on THIS season type of post, just asking the question.

Last year it was released mid August for 2025 but so far nothing for 2026. My guess is it will be released before the WS ends at some point.

Heard on other social media sites the regular season for 2026 is already out there.
