Warren was awful last year when given starts.
Yet there seems to be lots of praise for how he's looked this Spring. I haven't seen it.
I think the Yankees were praying Warren would look decent enough this spring to use him as trade bait for a legit #3/4 starter.

Didn't happen.

Warren still has an under 3 ERA for the Spring. He'll be back at some point if he gets sent down.

Another struggling start for Warren...2.0 innings, 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 walks.

Holy ****...just like last season, any game he starts is LIKELY a loss!

Yanks are going to suck this year. Our only hope is for the AL to suck even more (like last season).

The way Warren has thrown the ball...just go with the "bullpen" game.

I still think they're trying to showcase him for a trade, but he sux every time he's on the mound.

That said, if Bellinger and Goldschmidt have decent seasons, there still a playoff team.
I'm not convinced Boston has improved enough.

Happy Opening Day all!

Who's is going to the Home Opener?
I had over a 30 year run of attending consecutive Home Openers until the new stadium came along and tickets were impossible to get.

I'm a little more positive about this team than others. People tend to forget that Cole wasn't available last year for the start of the season. They did pretty damn good in the beginning. Plus, The 8 playing the field is a lot better.

I agree. I think we can definitely make the World Series again. Depends upon the health of the pitching staff mostly. I had my final fantasy draft last night and it was a dynasty start up league so I'm super pumped and ready to go.

Have never been to an opening day.

They interviewed Rhys Hopkins on the field.
He was the only MLB player to have a X-rated fan club when he came up with the Phillies in 2017:Rhys's Pieces.

I have to go watch the Phillies now.I may be back later.

Not too bad today.

A few too many Ks for my liking!

Not impressed with Williams after hearing he throws junk and isn't a swing and miss closer. At least, not throwing gas.

Nobody was more brutal than Sterling for the back half of his Yankee career.
No argument on that from me.

I only listened to the top of the 9th in the car on my way home, but this guy was not good. In one half inning, there were multiple times where he did not explain the result of a pitch. And he oscillated between monotone and over the top excited with no middle ground. I couldn’t visualize what was going on….did not enjoy him at all.

What happened to the guy from last year? Did he quit when he was taken off the playoffs for Sterling? That was a real douche move by the Yankees last year.

Dave Sims is a pretty well known baseball broadcaster. I listened to him on the radio and didn't really like his fit with the Yankees. I would have rather see them retain the fill in from last year or somebody newer until they hit on something good.

His fastball is still in the mid 90's. With the airbender, he's a tremendously tough pitcher to hit. He'll be fine.

I don't care how fast a pitcher throws or if he is a K machine. Does he get people out? Cut the crap on those new analytics.

A great Opening Day for me. Yanks win, Phillies win and the Flushings go down.

Yankees with seven home runs so far today. Two for Judge.
What a treat for their fans.
Sorry Nestor.
