You know how I know this team will struggle in the post season...just look at the first inning on Wednesday...walk, walk, walk, short flyout, K, K.

Never have seen a team worse at scoring a guy from 3rd with less than two outs.

And that bum Cashman got from the Rockies...LOL
As bad as you think the Yankees are, they are now in first place in the AL East and are tied with Toronto for the best record in the AL.
If you pay attention to baseball then you would realize that every team has major issues too.
Not 1 single team team will have 100 wins. The bottom of Wild Card potential teams in the NL are hovering around .500.
Currently the teams with the longest winning streaks (during the important playoff run) are Seattle at 6 games and the Yankees and Pirates are on a 4 game streak. That's it. No one is on a 3 game streak.
Baseball has been fun to watch but there isn't any powerhouse teams this year!

Where you been and yes you're right, the Mets have been a complete disaster, but guess what, we COMPLAIN ABOUT it in our thread. Are you really going to waste your time and start another Yankees thread next season and what happened to so many not able to figure out how to get over in this thread, to quote you,

Mets fans are too stupid to figure it out or ask for help
Wasn't on much during the last weeks in August and early September I was in Belgium and the Netherlands. I certainly wouldn't waste my time posting on here during my vacation.
Also I fixed your post for you!
Your fascination about how many posts on here remind me of RUfinally2008 who would always harp about 1000 pages of throw up in the Mets thread and be proud of it. Did you change your screen name to your current one?

The Yankees are playing with a swagger and confidence I have not seen all year. They are peaking at the right time, the batters and the pitchers. Grisham, Judge, Bellinger, Rice are killing it. Jazz and Caballero have given the Yanks a huge dose of energy/speed. The piching staff is settled and ptiching deep and Fried will win the Cy Young. We have a great chance of going back to World Series.

I agree with most of this. I think Fried will come in 2nd or 3rd to Skubal and maybe Crochet. I do think Judge wins the MVP again though.

Many people are going to vote for Cal Raleigh because he plays the more important role of catcher , which i dont agree with, but a lot of voters dont like the yankees and are taking what Judge is doing for granted-"Judge fatigue" as Tony Kornheiser said . Fried maybe blew it with that one bad strech when his ERA was 6.80

Judge should win MVP but that 60 HR may be what takes it from him.
Fried has had one hell of a year but agree- that stretch killed him. I think Crochet may have made a case for beating out Skubal.

Who? Bottom line, ok you were vacationing, where were all the other "Yankees " fans? I see a couple of "likes" who also were missing in action. All I'm saying is baseball talk is what fans do, every other thread has plenty of foot traffic, this thread is dead all season and they wait till it's safe to come out and play, lmfao at the Pop Up fanbase.

So why the change in screen names. I doubt you were banned as you aren't a confrontational poster 😂😂🙄.
Pop Up fan base?? There are more Yankees fans in the World than any other baseball team and it's not even close.
You do understand there are much better sites to talk Yankees baseball than a Rutgers Football site. Sadly Mets fans constant complaining only have this platform. Lol.
Big weekend for the Mets. Do they or don't they hang on to there slim lead?

Post a few links that show Yankees fans are talking a lot of baseball ALL SEASON, not just when it's safe to come out from under a rock. I doubt you have any. Mets will get in then it's anybody's to win.

Why would I send you to a great Yankees platform? It's bad enough you're posting here! This Rutgers Football site has always been active for baseball fans, just not Yankees fans. Truth be told, am I wrong? The Mets thread is always way more active whether playing good or bad. It's why it's called the National Past Time, the longest pro sports season, debating the ups and downs, but not for the National Entitled. The few times this thread is active it's about Boone sucks, Cashman sucks and the Mets suck. Yet every year Cashman and Boone get you into the postseason and you all stfu. I missed all the experts on what should be done yet come October you all look foolish as the Yankees make the post season. PS. No matter what site, your fanbase is a pathetic collection of front runners. I almost forgot, isn't this where Kbee inserts the 27 rings which 90% of your fanbase might have been around to enjoyed 5 of them? Speaking of Kbee, would he be one of the posters you accused Mets fans of being too stupid to get on this site or ask for help? As you've said many times in the past, now you can post in the Mets thread as if you weren't chomping on the bit. Even these pale to the Mets off board sites.

There is none?? There are hundreds! Some are good, some aren't. The one I use actually gets quoted on here from time. There is a NY Post sports writer that adds to the platform often.
I certainly didn't count the Yankees out. You must be talking about the Mets thread.
It's been a crazy season with most teams going through long stretches of terrible play, including the Yankees, Dodgers and Phillies at almost the same time. Look at them now. They are all in.
So why did you change your screen name?? Did you get banned?

LOL, Why is this so hard for you to comprehend? No wonder they call you Shortbus. Hey, I only live 30 minutes from Philly, maybe we can lift a cold one when the Yankees fail to secure #28 for the 16th year in a row. Yeah I know, if Kbee was here it would be 1986 was so long ago, but he's not so you can say it. See I miss that :poop:, you guys are so boring. If the Mets by chance get eliminated this weekend, it's all good, we don't feel entitled, we just love the day in day out grind of a baseball season and all the talk that goes with it. LFGM!

I just did and the answer I got back was Shortbus knows nothing and leads the board in timeouts. Never been banned and nice try on your theory.

I will be surprised if the Martian and/or Volpe aren't moved this winter.

Both young and should be decent trade bait.

BTW: If they don't win the East, I'll always look at that terrible loss against the Marlins.

Yanks have given you guys a wild ride this year but the team is on fire and you guys now have 4 starters you can trust in any game.

It's going to be hilarious if the Mets miss the playoffs after signing Soto.
I remember when the Mutts were too cheap to spend money and their fans were constantly trying to throw shade on the Yanks for “buying” all their postseasons. Looks like even the highest payroll in MLB can’t cover up total ineptitude.

Great job by the Yanks to close out the season. They had a winning record during the gauntlet of 4 series and then took care of business at the end.

I know MLB wants excitement at the end of the season, but a baseball team shouldn't make the playoffs with only 83 wins.

Great finish for yankees, mets/soto out :p
So glad we didn’t get that clown Soto who demanded a clothing allowance for his Mother, private charter flights for his family, personal security, etc. Bobby Bonilla Part Deux.

Strange take for a player who is in the top 3 for MVP...just saying

But, Yankees did a great pivot- Fried, Bellinger, Goldschmidt all worked out. But the hate on Soto is just weird- he did so much heavy lifting for the Yankees last year and had an insane year again this year. Enjoy the team you do have but to try to make it like Soto would have hurt your team this year- crazy...Except, Hal would not have paid for Fried if he paid for Soto

Missed the playoffs with him, could have missed the playoffs without him. As @Colbert17! says, Soto loves to put up his numbers when it matters least.

I don't hate Soto and happy for him he got a lot of money but it wasn't a great move by the Mets.
Im happy he wasn't signed by the Yankees because that would have handcuffed the Yankees for a decade. I also see his future similar to Stanton (minus the injuries) as a great hitting full time DH.
Question for you. Do people buy tickets just to see Soto? He wasn't a big draw at San Diego and completely overshadowed by Judge on the Yankees.

this is the real discussion- about the money- not the player.

as a draw- great question...The draw was Lindor/Soto/Alonso together. None of them alone...but, the last 1/3 of the season- Soto was drawing them as he was just in a different world offensively.

The Yankees made out much better by not signing him- Fried, Bellinger, Goldschmidt may not be here if they sighed Soto. On the Met's - if they didn't go for Soto - I don't know if Stearns would have been as successful with a pivot. I think Stearns wants to feel smarter than everyone else and would try to go bargain basement to try to prove everyone wrong. But, if a team could afford Soto and still afford other great players- Soto will be a force for a long time.

You all have a fun lineup that is clicking now- you have the best hitter in baseball and maybe the best starting 4. You all are set up for a real run at it this year- Enjoy

Soto has been successful as the #2 on a team (Wash/Yanks), never the #1 (i.e., SD/Mets).

And he had a good season with the Mets not a great season, and perhaps a mediocre season if you view it from the lens of his massive contract. For the $$$ Soto makes he should be setting HR records not Cal Raleigh.
