Let's hope Cashman and Boone don't blow it tomorrow.Great job by the Yanks to play team ball tonight. Jazz came through big time with scoring from first on that double; if he held up at 3rd, they likely don't score that run. And to their credit, the bullpen did their job tonight.

Let’s see if Boone sits Jazz and Rice like Game 1 LOL…such a moron.Let's hope Cashman and Boone don't blow it tomorrow.
I’m sure Boone and Cashman already have the pitch count set 12 hours before opening pitch and exit velocity will dictate line-up.Game three will be a huge test given who the NYY starter is and likely having Chapman ready for Boston.
I imagine there will be some "quick hooks" with the pitchers from Boone.
Imperative Yanks get an early lead.
Really miss the days when you could throw Cone out there for 130 pitches and be ready to go on short rest if needed.,,I’m sure Boone and Cashman already have the pitch count set 12 hours before opening pitch and exit velocity will dictate line-up.
Boston has an inexperienced rookie starter going tonight as well. Plus I doubt Whitlock will be available after throwing close to 50 pitches last night. Cora managed last night like it was an elimination game for them and worked his bullpen hard and early. Could be a disadvantage for them tonight.Game three will be a huge test given who the NYY starter is and likely having Chapman ready for Boston.

Boston has more guts and a manager that is lightyears better than Boone. Tonight will be tough unless the big bats go boom.Yanks need the long ball to win. Boston is a gutsy team.
Pretty unusual that two playoff teams wouldn't have better options for a Game 3.Two rookies starting a do or die playoff game. When is the last time that happened?
First time 2 rookies with less than 15 MLB starts are facing each other in a playoff game. Schlittler has 14, Early has 4.Two rookies starting a do or die playoff game. When is the last time that happened?
I saw that. Also the 4th youngest combined pitchers in a playoff game.Mm up_ First time 2 rookies with less than 15 MLB starts are facing each other in a playoff game. Schlittler has 14, Early has 4.
Constructed nicely but injuries can get in the way…When I look at the fact that Schlittler is the third starter, it kinda indicates that this year's team wasn't constructed to win the WS, just a chance to get there.
With Cole and Schmidt out, Cashman wasn't willing to part with top prospects for one year #3 or #4 starting pitching.
I guess we'll know soon enough if that approach was correct.
We're going to remember this performance for years to come. Especially since it was against the Red Sox.Cam motherf’ing Schlittler! Dude just wrote a chapter in Yankees postseason history that will last forever.
Judge and Volpe had the most hits in the Series. Stanton had 1 hit in the 3 gamesSurprised Boone didn't put Williams in to close the 9th. I guess he got overruled.
But Judge and Stanton need to start hitting.
The way he throws 100mph effortlessly is amazing!Kid just had the game of his life. Kind of cool for him in the ironic way that it was to knock the Red Sox out of the playoffs- who was his favorite team growing up. Cole/Rhodon/Fried/Gil/Schittler/Schmidt is one hell of a starting group.
Stanton yes, Judge hit like .360 so I'm not sure how much more hitting he needs to do.Surprised Boone didn't put Williams in to close the 9th. I guess he got overruled.
But Judge and Stanton need to start hitting.
Judge's only meaningful "hit" was a clear error by Boston. He needs to lead the way against Toronto.Judge

Unfortunately we're going to have to live with Chisholm's shaky defense. He is who he is. I'd like him to make better decisions before trying to make impossible throws like on Wednesday night.Weird series...Volpe, who struggled ALL season, with a couple fantastic defensive plays and a key hit last nite.
A bit concerned with sloppy defense from Chisholm.
I can only imagine if George was alive what the reaction would be.Unfortunately we're going to have to live with Chisholm's shaky defense. He is who he is. I'd like him to make better decisions before trying to make impossible throws like on Wednesday night.
Not about Jazz, but if George was alive, Boone would have never become manager and Cashman would have been long gone.I can only imagine if George was alive what the reaction would be.![]()
The Judge/Stanton Ks with the bases loaded decided the game.I was expecting a loss in game 1 with the disadvantage in starting pitching, but wasn't expecting that. You tip your cap and turn to tomorrow. I do like the matchups the next 3 days.
It certainly made a difference heading into the later innings. Things might have played out differently if the Yanks score 3 instead of 1 thereThe Judge/Stanton Ks with the bases loaded decided the game.
