No, there is not a gender identity issue, there are only two sexes, male and female, end of discussion. Someone who is male who pretends they are female or vice versa is a personal mental problem, not a societal problem. If someone wants to pretend to be another sex that is completely their right. When they demand that I agree with their delusion and threaten me with legal action if I don't, that is when the law becomes a weapon against thought. I agree about the right to live a lifestyle as long as it is peaceful and does not impede on the rights of others but criminalizing the refusal to accept a mentally ill persons delusions as fact and forcing the public to fund that lifestyle is a long ways from that.
Psychologist knew transgender issues were a mental illness for a very long time until the PC crowd and the threat of losing funding forced them to declare it not to be.
You would probably be surprised at how much of what you stated above I agree with.
I agree that there are two sexes. And yes, I believe there's a mental issue with those who feel that they are of the wrong sex.
Please provide an example of a "demand to agree with their delusion."
My personal opinion in regards to those who present as the opposite sex and their advocates is that many in the country will not accept and endorse this. And the best we can "compromise" on is civil tolerance. We don't have to be their friends or advocates; best is to ignore them.
How do we "fund" a lifestyle?
My questions are not to be annoying, but to learn, and to come up with a non-violent approach which does not compromise my religious faith and values.
