WOLF dumps hard. Bankruptcy report. Down about 60%. Buy the dip? :)
Company probably going bankrupt and you want to buy the dip? Hopefully you know when to get out or else you will be left holding the bag. This reminds me of why I love having amateur traders in the stock market.

That was a joke.
Besides, too busy trading GLD futures to play chicken with a company going bankrupt.

UNH getting hammered for good reason. Apparently paid nursing homes to reduce hospital transfers for ailing patients.
The gift that keeps on giving.

Let's see if holds the line. Yes it's more garbage news, but they've already pivoted in terms of leadership, put this all on the old regime and move fwd.

Looks only down 4%. The new/former CEO is big for the company.

I assume this new news is the same as the doj news from a week ago, so we knew about it without knowing the details.

But yeah, the guy in charge of all that is already gone, and a proven winner is back in place.

All that remains is to pay a big fine, raise premiums, decline claims, and pay out bonuses. Wins all around.

HSBC cuts price target on UNH from $490 to $270. Seeing it at $302 now. But still a buy at most of the banks.

Surely they’ll blame everything on the outgoing CEO, but the nursing home program being investigated started under Hemsley. Somewhere around 1/4 or a 1/3 of their profit is tied to Medicare. Added scrutiny there could be a lingering problem, especially if they did what’s being suggested in the investigation.

Wonder what it would look like if you graph Nasdaq for the same period?
  • April 7–30: Both assets reacted similarly to geopolitical and tariff news—sharp drops were followed by rebounds—reflecting risk‑on/off behavior.
  • Post-late April: There’s emerging evidence Bitcoin began distancing itself, possibly behaving more like “digital gold” with stronger ties to gold than tech stocks (correlation ~0.70)

When the market went down BTC went down. Market up BTC up. Only thing driving BTc is demand. When market goes down the consumer sentiment is down and BTC follows.

It was probably $250ish last week. It is going to come back. The shooting of the VP started the ball rolling.

Every single logical indicator points to adoption over collapse, but sure if it collapses price will go down.

Only thing driving it is demand. When the market went down, consumer confidence went down and BTC went down. Market up BTC was up. All it takes is consumer confidence to tank and BTC will tank.

BTC bears have already lost and been proven wrong. Time to move on and stop yelling at the sky.

Demand is a bad thing now?

Data from the last month says otherwise, but that is way too short of a timeframe to base an argument on. People have been calling for bitcoin to tank for a long time, it will correct, then continue moving up and to the right.

They are almost certainly going to get hit with lawsuits from families who find out that their loved one was not moved to a hospital and passed away. But, shares are definitely on sale. Peaked at $625.25 on 11/11/24. So down over 50%. Are you saying it's coming back to $625? Good luck with that one.

Just read the JPM report on this. They feel that UNH did not do anything unusual regarding hospitalizations, which are much more expensive. They do mention that the Guardian is coming out with another article tomorrow so there is headline risk. They remain overweight.

SNOW pushing $200 after earnings.

I feel it's not going to break through. M.O. after recent earnings is to pop, but then fall back.

SNOW is a good company, but it faces stiff competition via Databricks (private). It seems to be stuck in a trading range. P/E is sky high but without the powerful narrative that PLTR or TSLA has.
