Can’t wait until we see updated valuations of Twitter. I’d say he got his moneys worth at this point.
Yeah that goes for all of Musk’s companies. Hard to separate fact from fiction but the media is reporting that Trump is consulting Musk on appointments. Trump would have won no matter what, but it’s starting to look like Musk and the crypto industry helped buy this election with the House and Senate. I didn’t realize how the crypto super-pacs targeted key battleground candidates. It sure worked! I’m completely torn between enjoying looking at my accounts vs. we may have a real fundamental issue with the election process.

Would there have been an issue if the other side won spending 3x the money on “endorsements” from Lizzo, Beyoncé and Eminem? Or if Soros being able to buy 200 plus radio stations and having it fast tracked prior to the election had worked? It happens on both sides, in this case one just did it better.

This isn’t about one side vs. the other. It’s just a problem if any gov’t is that blatantly influenced. And I’m not suggesting Wall Street hasn’t done this for years. But you didn’t see Jaime Dimon running daily lottery payouts and partying in West Palm Beach on Election Night. The whole Musk thing is kind of crazy.

Agreed, I’m just prepared for the whining to be louder (not saying you’re whining, just in general) because it’s Elon and not the usual machine that does it behind the scenes.

ZETA though. Giving back all the recent gains.
Buy the F out of this dip. Great earnings report with massive raise for revenue and guidance. 6 analysts already increased price targets to the $42-45 range. But all good things need a breather from time-to-time! LOL.

Bought TSLA 11/22 300 puts yesterday. Sold them today for a 50% profit. Tried to buy TSLQ and my ML account said no.

No, still down from my last YOLO puts. That’s why I’m double YOLO this time.
Now you’re talking! If a play doesn’t work go to 2x. If that doesn’t work go to 3x. If that doesn’t work go to call options! There’s always a way to dig out of a hole.

Not really. I’m old and am able to navigate the nonsense with savvy. In fact I have a four year supply of sneakers already. I pity younger folks who will have to endure four more years of the nonsense. Just today, Elon Dogecoin indicated that he is in full agreement with MAGA Senator Mike Lee’s tweet where he says Trump should end the Fed. Has to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard on many levels. Truly infantile stuff.

Federal largesse is going to get scalped. And rightly so.

Just think of that rule where agencies, depts etc have to spend all their budget to get increases. They go looking for things to spend on. Then many agencies overlap. Lots of grift going on. Pentagon gets ripped-off like crazy and the green grift exacerbated it. Massive spending on reversity bureaucracy at every level. Non-profits and NGOs robbing gov like crazy and are just a political base. Vivek will be sharp at these things

Donnie obviously isn’t serious about reducing federal deficits. Grifting corrupt circus is all it is. RFK Jr will now likely have a major role in public health. Scary.
Yea naming two of the smartest people on the planet to head a new institution to just that. Yea he’s not going to do it.

The tranny granny in that role is hella more scary than RFKJ

RFKJr adviser, Casey Means, has championed relying on “divine gifts of intuition and heart intelligence” rather than “blindly ‘trusting the science.’ ”

Ahh the association game.

You mean the science like Fauci saying masks work and if you get the jab you won’t get Covid of that or came from a bar lol? That type of science?

I’d still pick whoever that broad is over the tranny granny.

Mildone, why the negative comments re cutting Govt waste and bureaucracy? Is it because it's a Republican initiative and you bash everything republican or is it that you don't think there is a need for this house cleaning?
Trump is nothing but a Putin knockoff with his posturing nonsense. And he would put Don Jr in as Fed Chairman as his puppet if he could get away with it.

What negative comments? I laughed and expressed appropriate skepticism as I do anytime anybody makes hero worship statements about anything or anyone political. True believers always crack me up, doesn’t matter who it is or what they believe in.

Just an "fyi" re: "the Pentagon gets ripped off like crazy...." A vast majority of DOD contractors are "insiders" i.e. former military and agency staff who went into defense contracting following their service years. To be blunt: it's one big clusterfxck of a gravy train. Eisenhower got it....

The true believers voted for the elimination of the Dept of Education so that that their state and local property taxes can go up.🤣
They’re playing four dimensional chess…in their minds.🇷

I subscribe to CNBC Pro but also use Seeking Alpha (free) sometimes. I find a lot of stocks by looking at trends and come up with ideas, or look at companies where I spend money or use their products.
Yeah I agree with the last part but stuff like Super Micro, Zeta, Palantir, etc I've never heard of before.

What if federal income taxes for education were cut more than state and local taxes were increased for education? The goodness/badness of any such change depends on the details of the implementation. I haven’t seen any details so I cannot state if it would be good or bad. And I really have no interest in discussing such stuff ‘cause I’m not ideological.

I just think it’s hilarious that anybody would actually believe than Trump or Musk GAF about government waste. I mean, think about it. You’d be hard pressed to find two American people less interested in that. 🤣

Considering the total budget deficit is much larger than the Dept of Education budget each year it would be a net negative to the 99% e.g.. the non very wealthy. Dems made it clear that nobody making under 400K would get a tax increase under their plan.

I think T2K brought Zeta to our attention here so oddly enough this thread has provided some real winners. Palantir had huge hype when it IPO’d then got crushed for a while before starting its climb. I keep it fairly simple and do most of my research through CNBC and Fidelity, then refer to other sources like Seeking Alpha or Podcasts to pressure test.

There is so much waste everywhere = anyone that works at a Fortune 500 company knows how much money goes out the door for BS supply chain deals, “consulting contracts” with former execs, sweet-heart deals to insiders, etc. Now, you can probably 100X that nonsense when it comes to the Gov’t. Corruption and Conflicts of Interest are basically human traits.
