Sui is up a solid 250% in two years. Sol is up 674%. Sol is still the sol of this cycle.

Sol was up 51,000% last cycle. For some reason I don’t see sui catching that, a $6T market cap seems a little high
I'm counting the current cycle starting in early Jan 2024 (10th IIRC) when the BTC ETFs were approved and the entire market changed.

I bought the MSFT dip and added to my position! Happy I did.

Board question….Have a CD maturing today and looking to roll it into the market. What would be your top picks right now with the highest upside as of today!!

UNH, Tesla, Zeta, and AAPL seem like great buys at the current levels…

I think UNH and AAPL are no-brainers at these prices. ZETA has a positive future and is worthy of a small position. TSLA will continue to be super volatile and a play on autonomous driving and robotics. While I own TSLA, my main autonomous driving play is UBER. I'm also very big on HOOD, RDDT, and SHAK as Gen Z trends/plays.

Thinking of going big on UNH.

I wanted to get in on HOOD but may have missed the window! RDDT seems interesting at these levels…

HOOD is going way, way higher. It's the Charles Schwab of the younger generation. I would start with a small position to get into the game. Add more later (if it dips). I bought during the tariff crash from $46 down to $34. My cost basis is now about $39. Very happy. :)

I wouldn't put any substantial sum on any one stock. If you had in a CD, I wouldn't take it from the safety of that CD to the risk of a single stock holding.

My advice is dump it all into the SPY or VTI type etfs, buying the entire market

Too late. It’s all overpriced!🙂
MSFT was a relatively good buy when it recently dipped down near $360/sh briefly but it’s back up to $436 now…so go buy some 3 year treasury etf…because the current administration is hellbent on bringing down short term rates (they’re finding out that long rates don’t want to play along nicely) by tanking the economy.

I like MSFT for the long run too but o find so much hinges on what happens to GOOG and their monopoly status. Clearly that’s more about their advertising market share but could have implications for many big tech in general

Goog and meta are cheapest on a p/e basis out of the mag 7. Take half on those, rest on SPY.

Not great defensive stocks in a recession or near recession given they bigly rely on ad revenue so that would be a no from me, dawg, but maybe if they get cheap enough…🤷‍♂️🤔
I haven’t been paying close attention to Amazon but it’s PE is now relatively cheap compared to where it had been…I’m guessing due to recent stock buybacks and the couple of really good earnings quarters. Retail biz going into a slowdown isn’t ideal but I’d rather order from Amazon if I can than make a trip to the store…and they have cloud biz.

AMZN does look quite attractive right now as well…

Best to overweight them now.
My point was he is buying those individual equities (META, GOOG) and also buying a cap-weighted index ETF (SPY) that overweights those same individual equities. Whereas RSP is an equal weight index, so the same % of holding each S&P member companies.

Monster day incoming. Have some close friends who lost a lot of money the last couple of months buying into the doom on aggressive put plays. Too much reading wallstreetbets.

An old favorite I'd been posting about, DEFTF, starts trading on NASDAQ today, new symbol is DEFT. I got in at about 1.20, trading premarket at 4.30. This one is a homerun for me.
Congrats! Moving to the DAQ is a big step. It might keep ripping.

Artificial crashes can always lead to rips back to previous levels just as quick.

The U.S. and China on Monday agreed to suspend most tariffs on each other’s goods in a move that shows a thawing of trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies.

The deal means “reciprocal” tariffs between both countries will be cut from 125% to 10%. The U.S.′ 20% duties on Chinese imports relating to fentanyl will remain in place, meaning total tariffs on China stand at 30%.

“We had very productive talks and I believe that the venue, here in Lake Geneva, added great equanimity to what was a very positive process,” U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a news conference.
