FS Insights/Tom Lee forecasts gold getting to $6700 before end of year.

Gold/GLD futures are your friend. Available on COIN, HOOD, and E-Trade. Fidelity doesn’t have futures, so that’s a bummer.
Chamath picked cooper as something that will go parabolic in the coming years. He quoted some statistic that we are on a run rare to be at a 40% or more deficit relative to the amount of copper needed for chips, data centers, batteries, etc

Yes. Copper likely next to launch, including copper miners. It is normal to have these launch after gold and silver. Based on the research from ASC, base metals and miners are next up. Plenty of opportunities still with gold and silver, but base metals might be next to go parabolic.

Palladium also has a long way to go to get back to past ATHs.

I bought a few microcap gold and silver royalty companies. Looking at junior copper miners if anyone has recommendations.

If copper goes parabolic does that eventually push fiber companies like Corning higher as a substitute?

COPJ is a junior copper miners etf.

I thought it was leveraged but looking now, I guess I was wrong. They just paid a one year Div of 12%. A div that doubled yoy. Chart looks great.

The only holding in the top 10 of the ETF that is on an a US exchange is IE. Ivanhoe Electric. Up 200% off April lows.

I'll likely buy some COPX/COPJ.....maybe copper futures, but the ETFs are probably better. I don't see a normal spot copper ETF, which is probably why the miners are leading the way. Charts look crazy bullish for copper and its plays.

Unless AI and electricity demand craters seems like a good place to allocate bonus money…I’ll probably also buy some IE and a few other spec plays. I could see the entire space exploding even after the recent run ups.

Who else is still in SOUN? It looks lime it maybe breaking out soon. I made a big bet on that one.
I am! SOUN shares and calls. I bought shares 3 times including at $9.95 (my CB is ~$10.5). I also bought $10 Jan 2027 calls during the last dip in anticipation of the next rally.

Any thoughts or recommendations?
Also, any thoughts on HUT? Looking like it's breaking through a major resistance at $57.

My degen metals account continues to blow up! FS Insights/Tom Lee forecasting gold to 6,700 by year end.

BTW, moved my COIN assets over to a new HOOD accounts for my metals/commodities plays. The platform is so much better than COIN. Stocks, futures, options, etc. COIN is very limited.

I'm in it. Down a bunch, looks like it might be bouncing off a near term bottom, the long term trend looks good too, but nowhere near a break out at this point.

Were there monetary incentives for moving over your portfolio?

I know Public offers unlimited 1%.

I'd like to get out of COIN. Their fees are dumb.

Yeah, I highly recommend HOOD over COIN. I didn't get a transfer bonus since I think that is only good for transfers from an IRA or brokerage account. But check it out, some new incentives recently popped up. I did get a few small stock/crypto gifts when I joined and for the holiday season. HOOD Gold is only $5 a month and it comes with an automatic 3.75% rate for cash deposits (which is better than COIN and most online banks).

Oct 1st.

I did make a little money on a trade in Sept. And I sold calls in Nov. But overall not good......

......so far. I was waiting for a sustainable bounce to add, and I think it's looking pretty solid here.

Quick question, do you ever use VWAP (volume weighted average price) for trading? Normal VWAP seems to be mostly for intraday trading, but anchored VWAP looks helpful for longer-term entry and exit levels. Been doing some interesting education/research lately. :)

Are SOUN products immune to Mag7 ? That’s my issue with a lot of these application and software stocks. Is there a moat?
Nothing is immune to anything including PLTR. Anyone can come up with a product that is better than anyone. AI is just beginning to take off.

From my perch I see once enthusiastic AI observers backed away - the energy, water and tech workers aren't available as needed. The large integrated networks aren't in place Corporations that invested in AI didn't get much from it. The "AI layoffs" weren't really due to AI and it was an excuse for other things. As for users there is a lot of blowback building for MS after W10 closed and users went WII with all the forced data harvesting. Someday AI will be something but not soon. Tech was in a slump and over-stoked to push a tech market that is pushing back.

Dell Admits That Customers Are Disgusted by PCs Stuffed With AI Features

MIT: The great AI hype correction of 2025

Four ways to think about this year's reckoning.

For a start, the heads of the top AI companies made promises they couldn’t keep. They told us that generative AI would replace the white-collar workforce, bring about an age of abundance, make scientific discoveries, and help find new cures for disease. FOMO across the world’s economies, at least in the Global North, made CEOs tear up their playbooks and try to get in on the action.

That’s when the shine started to come off. Though the technology may have been billed as a universal multitool that could revamp outdated business processes and cut costs, a number of studies published this year suggest that firms are failing to make the AI pixie dust work its magic. Surveys and trackers from a range of sources, including the US Census Bureau and Stanford University, have found that business uptake of AI tools is stalling. And when the tools do get tried out, many projects stay stuck in the pilot stage. Without broad buy-in across the economy it is not clear how the big AI companies will ever recoup the incredible amounts they've already spent in this race.

I posted that on 4/2 and Tesla was at 283. On 4/8 it hit 221. People can make money a lot of ways. I was actually just thinking about buying a put or short the stock.
Did you short it lol? $451 today. Easiest money I ever made. Thank you to Elon and thank you to the crazy libs who drove the stock down for no other reason than they don't like Trump. Created some real wealth for the intellgient.

Let’s think logically here… who buys EV’s? MAGA’s or Prius owners?

The mental gymnastics are insane to rationalize what’s so obviously in front of us.

Please be sure to bring this same energy come the next earnings call👍🏾

You ok?

Looks like the US Mint can't keep up with the changing PM prices. The mints prices are already crazy over spot to begin with.

United States Mint | Connecting America Through Coins
Dear Valued Customer,
To maintain transparency and a positive customer experience, we are reaching out to share an important update.

Due to metals cost, pricing adjustments are being evaluated across all numismatic products. In addition, rapidly rising silver prices may result in silver numismatic products being temporarily removed from sale while pricing is updated.

We are working expeditiously to update pricing in order to maintain product availability. However, we wanted to communicate in advance in case you notice changes on the United States Mint website.

Once pricing has been updated, we will notify you. For the most current product pricing and availability information, please visit our product schedule at: https://www.usmint.gov/product-schedule/

There was some speculation last week that dealers might stop selling at full clip. With prices rising they would have to restock at higher prices but worse they might have to struggle for merch with dealers sitting on stock.
