The trenches are the biggest open question now on whether Sanders is going to ultimately be successful at Colorado, and I will imagine it will be the same for Brown. So far - I haven’t seen him land a player for the trenches. If he doesn’t produce there he’s heading on an even steeper Titanic path. The worst thing that can happen for him would be to bring in super talented position players that fail because of his lines. They do play a dreadful schedule though so maybe that will help.
Went to bed last night in such a great mood! Couldn’t happen to a nicer group of fans!!!45-0
I hear they are getting 30 more players out of the portal
Is he the only coach on their staff that has hc experience.Wow, Nunz is the designated punching bag once again, I give him credit at least he can take a punch.
Looks like Fran ran off a few of the NJ kids Babers had taken commitments from, that usually doesn't play well going forward.

A Syracuse fan said Two of Coach Brown’s lauded recruits are offensive linemen. They are two lower rated 3 star IOL recruits in the 2024 class. I guess they expect the two freshman OL to start next year. They are funny. And when would those lineman have an impact? 2026?

Al would have used the ice to make cocktails.the Titanic. Al, of course is not one of them.
The one guy was so open he didn't know what to do with himself when he got to the goal line. That's a classic clip for the ages - lol

Just like it has been our issue since GS stepped foot on campus back in 2020. It doesn’t happen overnight and now that Greg has four classes under his belt and some portal pieces in the trenches over the years, we are just starting to see SOME progress this year. The trenches are the biggest open question now on whether Sanders is going to ultimately be successful at Colorado, and I will imagine it will be the same for Brown.
you have to wonder if the mccord family is having 2nd thoughts
You’re right Syracuse is the worst of the old Big East Teams.Beating Syracuse was one of the top five wins of the Schiano 2.0 era according to an article in another thread. Doesn't seem all that great of an accomplishment to me.
When you are playing Colgate, Holy Cross, UConn, Ohio of the MAC and the middle to bottom half of the ACC I guess you can throw freshmen offensive linemen out there and hope for the best. We play in a conference where programs like Iowa and Wisconsin won't let an OL or DL step on the field until they are at least red-shirt sophomores. There's a major difference.Just like it has been our issue since GS stepped foot on campus back in 2020. Unless FB starts bring in seasoned portal OL/DL immediately, it will take him as long or longer than it has for us to rebuild the OL/DL. The ACC will be a little easier to catch up to for Syracuse when compared to Rutgers trying to catch up to the teams in the B1G, but if Syracuse lines up with a B1G or SEC (or apparently USF from the AAC) in the meantime, there will be a glaring difference.
The bottom line is the game is predominantly won in the trenches and that has been the biggest huddle for Rutgers since joining the league. Once we finally get that to being on par, THEN we (generally) really can focus on the atheletes we have or don’t have. If you cannot win in the trenches the game 9 times out of 10 is already lost. Syracuse fans will learn this next year…

One could imagine that McCord did a lot of rationalization as to the current state of Syracuse football and what he can do there with Brown’s upgraded recruiting.Just look at the photo of the kid on the sidelines. That’s not second thoughts. That’s oh **** why am I here.

One extra win from this year with all those great recruits and million dollars NIL. With the difficult 2025 schedule, I figured they win 5 games but I was generous with the toss up games. They have elite ACC teams that they normally lose to which in their best season will keep them in the middle of the pack of ACC.FB build will be a sugar high next year - their schedule is cream puff and should be easy 7 wins (albeit i would have said 8+ before last night..
2025 schedule is will be back to reality..

McCord only has 1 year, IIRCIf McCord is still there in 2025 he doesn’t make it out of week 1.
The announcers last night made it seem like he has at least two years left. Forget 1 year, he may not survive one game.McCord only has 1 year, IIRC
I didn't see that but did see them pan in on him smiling etc. If I were dad, looking at that line, the staff, who is coming in, the depth etc, I'd fix this. terrible choice for mccordJust look at the photo of the kid on the sidelines. That’s not second thoughts. That’s oh **** why am I here.
he's far from average so stop acting like a jilted lover or ex wifeMcCord is an average QB and it's going to be ugly in the frozen tundra next year.
I kind of feel bad for McCord. He is a good player and someone I would have liked to root for but even with a weak schedule, that team is a mess. Plus add in the HC, OC and DC, have 1 year combined experience calling plays. That’s being generous too. WoofThe announcers last night made it seem like he has at least two years left.
