ACC and PAC-12 just tried that with the Big Ten.
Less than a year later, Big Ten stabbed PAC 12 in the back and took USC/UCLA just to make some more money.
“Alliances” mean nothing to athletic conferences. It’s everyone out for themselves.
The BIG (by adding USC and UCLA)
galvanized their spot as one of the Big Two.
Many here saw that coming.
If I was one of the little three I would want a scheduling agreement to make my league more marketable.
The PAC - Big 12 situation could be contentious but if the PACs media rights deal is descent no one is going anywhere.
The ACC’s GOR is keeping everyone home.
Why not work together to try and close the gap ( between the big 2)as much as possible
Those 3 leagues together could provide some interesting matchups.
Why not make it happen?
You could have a three league challenge like the Big Ten /Big East Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Big 12/ACC/PAC 10 challenge.
Who wouldn’t watch that?
Who knows it might put them closer to the Big 2. Right now their just a step above the group of 5.
