Gutsy performance by the team, but Shah and company could not overcome the superior talent of St John’s.
Offensive anemia out of halftime again...Merrimack was same way Tuesday vs Siena claw back to make it reasonable at the horn then such a titled handicap to overcome with 12 min left.Gutsy performance by the team, but Shah and company could not overcome the superior talent of St John’s.
Hines and maybe Mccray?Seton Hall had what maybe 4 players that would ever see minutes if they were on St John’s.
Yea. I think Clark would see time and maybe Parker, but probably not.Hines and maybe Mccray?
SHU was 0-5 in Potter games 25-26 seasonIt helped St. John’s that they had 6 people on the court - 5 players and so called ref Matt Potter.
Something fishy in Potter land.SHU was 0-5 in Potter games 25-26 season
NIL only matters when you lose. How come Seton Hall fans don’t acknowledge when they beat say Xavier or Marquette that Seton Hall is spending more than them?
Because I think it’s a marginal difference unlike UConn and SJU and VillanovaHow come Seton Hall fans don’t acknowledge when they beat say Xavier or Marquette that Seton Hall is spending more than them?
Not a factor at all.It helped St. John’s that they had 6 people on the court - 5 players and so called ref Matt Potter.
It’s not a seton hall thing it’s a society thing. Everyone likes to cry loud and play the victim for the circumstances they face. How come Seton Hall fans don’t acknowledge when they beat say Xavier or Marquette that Seton Hall is spending more than them?
You know the reason. In fact, $$$ doesn't come up for any other program in America, except for one.How come Seton Hall fans don’t acknowledge when they beat say Xavier or Marquette that Seton Hall is spending more than them?
When you aren't good for 20+ years, and then have back to back seasons where you set a conference record for wins, win back to back regular season titles, win the Big East tourney for the first time in forever, have a chance to repeat, sellout MSG, and now get covered like a professional sports team by the NY media, it isn't "second weekend or bust". I'm sure they will be disappointed if that doesn't happen, but a little perspective of what's been accomplished there in a short period of time. Which should be no surprise given who is at the helm, because it is what he's done for 40 years at every type of school, in every type of recruiting environment. That's the objective reality some people here just don't want to come to grips with. The reality is the Big East needs Uconn, Nova and SJU to win some games this year, and so theoretically all should be rooting for that outcome. Instead of hoping for an early upset so they can run to a message board and post some insane rant.Let’s face it, as Decourcy said SJ did not do well versus top competition. They did well versus everyone else. Second weekend or bust. But for good of the league I’ll be rooting for them.

end of day Nova, UCONn, and Creighton built great seasons without the money st johns ridicule benefitted from. Best college coach in the post wooden era. Not sure how long his Kentucky run would have been without nba call up but he would have been elsewhere and won...hell he took cusa Louisville to a final four@CTF591011 You’re out of your mind if you think they wouldn’t be ranked in a level playing field. Pitino is a HOF coach. C’mon dude
You know the reason. In fact, $$$ doesn't come up for any other program in America, except for one.
Likewise, no one brings up they were picked 5th preseason in the league last year and went 18-2 and tied the conference record for wins. Again, we know why.
Personally, I see them getting knocked out in the Round of 32 with the wrong matchup, and so that will make everyone excited and lead to all kinds of b*t **** crazy, hypocricy filled rants.
I don't understand why it devolves to this and we can't just evaluate the game like was the case last night.
That St. John’s frontline is awesome. Such a matchup nightmare. All the more impressive what Najai was able to do.
SJU guards suck, though. Imagine Ian Jackson telling Pitino with a straight face that he’s thinking of going pro. Lol
He’s a try-hard but not a high major PGI really like Darling. Not the most talented guy, but he gets everything through hard work. He could play for me any day.

Maybe. I made the comment that not one of our starters would start for them.Seton Hall had what maybe 4 players that would ever see minutes if they were on St John’s.

He’s started like 10 games this year. Pitino finally landed on him because the other idiots can’t stop stealing shots from the actual good players on the team. He’s smart enough to stay out of the way. Which I guess is good.Doing pretty well for a high major team as their starting PG.
Amazing how we throw stones at other players on better teams, but never see any faults in our own, of which there are many. He’s started like 10 games this year. I see plenty of faults in our team lolAmazing how we throw stones at other players on better teams, but never see any fault in our own, of which there are many.
Their 4 guards are wildy inconsistent, it seems, which is probably why they are a top 15 team and not better than that. I don’t think any of them had a clue about playing defense before they got to Pitino, and to his credit he’s gotten them to do that, which is why SJU improved so much defensively.
I feel 15% dumber every time I read your posts.Na only proof we need is UCONN.
end of day Nova, UCONn, and Creighton built great seasons without the money st johns ridicule benefitted from.
I understand they have some solid history in the 80s and 90s, and always respect their program, but for me it really cheap feeling seeing a team that was mid at best when the playing field was even and just leapfrog simply because they have an advantage of money.
I really don’t believe even with Pitino they are even ranked if the playing field was eve
They could get recruits but us, Creighton, and Providence would get similar players and then have this BS talent advantage.
