Pitino is a good coach, he's earned that. Certainly, more money, a higher payroll, is a big advantage and feels unfair. Hopefully we can increase our payroll/NIL and get good players and players that fit and also overachieve.
Yes , yes, yes! And in the meantime the other eight schools need to get a whole lot better . The league is fading faster than an Earl Scheib paint job. Just look at the coverage and networks we are getting for most regular season games. Or the leagues NET. It’s a sad reality.

My sources unlike yours say 2 teams spent less, and not a lot less than SHU. We are in the next group that spent around $6M. Schools like UConn and SJU double our spending and the next group led by Providence spend $8-10M
Comparing the upper level amounts far beyond ours is not comparable to comparing any slight advantage we have from those below our spending.

Except that's not the reason or what SPK was really pointing to. When we lose to Uconn, the posts are about the actual game. Not $$$ or NIL. That's how it is to everyone we've lost to for 3 years, with one notable, glaring, neon red light exception.
