Is that the guy who uses the job title of director given to many employees at his employer to imply he is on the Board of a Fortune 500 company?Joe Adams reported it on his subscription Instagram about 15 minutes ago
I never back-peddle.
If I meant it I would stand by it!!
I clashed with all you cal danglers for years and never backed down!
I think this is the right analysis. He’s a likable, high character guy. Meet the GMs, scouts, etc and next year when they’re watching cbb prospects and they see his game it might slightly color their analysis of him, give him the benefit of the doubt, etc. Smart move for a fringe guy. And ultimately it helps UK to have as many positive connections in the league as possible.Personally I think he comes back but who knows.
One thing I don’t think I’ve seen mentioned in discussions about why someone would be “getting feedback” and playing out every workout: I don’t think the feedback is about what he needs to work on. I think he is probably more aware than anyone else about the things he needs to work on. He can get that info pretty easily.
Instead I think it’s smart to get as much in person time as possible with any team that shows interest because IMO many teams are looking for fit and personality and how players will fit within their culture.
Getting face to face time with execs and scouts can lay the foundation for getting a contract this year or more likely IMO next year.
By all accounts he’s a great character guy. That comes through in meeting someone in person. Even if he isn’t drafted this year, that first in person impression could be the difference in a team drafting you if they have met you and get a sense of how you will fit within their team culture.
Please note I have never been through the NBA draft process so all of this is JMHO. The feedback I got in high school from my coach was “you have deceptive speed. You’re even slower than you look up close”.

Also. Pretty clear hes gonna wait until almost everyone decides. Which makes total sense. But im thinking hes gonna wait until the end to see how it all shakes out, and see if theres a chance he could get drafted.
I have no doubt that if he gets a guarantee, even if it's second round, he's going to go for it.
No, no, that's not what you said. There is a big difference between a second round deal and what Chris Livingston got.A 6'6 shooting guard that shot about 38% from three last 2 years?
What did I make up?
Many! Over the last several years, a boatload of 2nd round picks received guaranteed deals. Not sure how that makes Livingston an outlier.
Klutch helped Livingston. Cal and Livingston camp and well as Klutch had a strained relationship.
So, then its not a fact if it's just your "common sense" opinion.
If you already have a deal, does that mean you can't possibly get a better one? Working out with additional teams only gets you more opportunities. He is on some draft boards, so clearly some think he has a draft projection.
I can understand it but let’s say he gets a million a year four years/ 2 guaranteed. He would make almost double that here in one year, not a great business decision unless he absolutely believes he will get PT and outperform that contract so much they will sign him to a larger extension early.I have no doubt that if he gets a guarantee, even if it's second round, he's going to go for it.
He’s all second team SEC and by far a top returner off a S16 team. That’s the rate for guys projected as first team for next year with a shot at AA status as well.$3.5M is wild ... he better play to First Team AA level at that pay rate ....
Probably Klutch, but Cal has connections too, lots of them.actually, Cal is not the one that leveraged Livingston getting drafted
No doubt they do, I’d say a handful per year get a guaranteed deal but most aren’t close to the college deals these guys now get which is why even fringe first round guys are returning.Umm...the last pick in last years draft, Ariel Hukporti also got a 2 year deal with the knicks. If you are willing to go look, you will see a lot of 2nd rd guys, even late picks, are getting guaranteed deals. Not all, but many.
And for every one of those, there are hundreds that don't get those deals.Umm...the last pick in last years draft, Ariel Hukporti also got a 2 year deal with the knicks. That sucks because Watkins would be a prime target if he came back and Oweh did not. Pettiford is kinda surprising to me, dude is a baller.Jamir Watkins staying in draft. Tahaad Pettiford withdrawing and returning to Auburn.
Oweh has one final workout today, with the Sacramento Kings. They don't have a first-round pick, only a second rounder (42nd).
without Klutch he does not get draftedProbably Klutch, but Cal has connections too, lots of them.
Read that Watkins did really well in the combine and the scrimmages. I think RJ Luis is the only fall-back option left at this point. Other than an international guy. Although I could be forgetting someone. That sucks because Watkins would be a prime target if he came back and Oweh did not. Pettiford is kinda surprising to me, dude is a baller.
Probably a reclass or foreign option. Maybe a player that didn’t sign like Pop Issacs we went after earlier in the cycle?Read that Watkins did really well in the combine and the scrimmages. Here is his season stats in Milwaukee.I forgot Livingston existed
Oweh is not better than Livingston. But he got paid well for those 5 minutes and 1.4 points!
To be fair, Oweh is far better and hungrier than Livingston. His skill set was being connected to Klutch sports.
It’s both. Like he should do what’s best for him of course but man, business wise I think it would be better to come back.This. You go try out. There is no downside for 00 to do this. It is only us impatient BBN fans who are inconvenienced.
OO should have decided already. I want what I want, and I want it NOW!
sheesh

Only triple digits.. slacker. C'mon man!...I’ve already hit today are probably in the triple digits
He's simply a far better player. It's not even close. What would you say is better about Livingston at this point aside from his measurements?
oh, I agree. I'm saying the hand wringing on our part is what is crazy. It really does not affect us at all, but BBN gonna BBN. lolIt’s both. Like he should do what’s best for him of course but man, business wise I think it would be better to come back.

Where? When was he a better player? Didnt show it (to be better than Oweh) at UK and hasn't shown much of anything in the NBA besides g league..He's simply a far better player. It's not even close.
