I can’t wait for some of the usual suspects to criticize the also tweeted beach pictures due to the risk of injury.

Imagine being a college kid, getting paid to play basketball and getting free travel to Hawaii on top of it. Hopefully they enjoy it and appreciate it.

I don't think there was a University trip per se as they've done in the past but the school did send out information regarding hotel rooms and buying tickets.

The Booster Club often runs separate trips to these events but I'm not aware that they did so.

I had no real intentions of going due to the expense but I priced out the hotel rooms which confirmed my original thought.

Hawaii recently instituted a major tax on rooms for visitors. Even if you happen to take a cruise there and don’t stay in a hotel or leave the ship they still tax your room!🤯😰

It looks like they added 3/4% to the existing room tax bringing it to 11%. As JTSHU notes that kicks in starting January 1.

Hotel rooms are already taxed at just under 18% a night so they'll climb to almost 18.75%. That adds up fast.
