This extremely aggravating to me, because I don't WANT someone else picking out my items. It's rife with problems/substitutions/missing items, and frankly, I don't want someone else picking out my produce.
This x infinity.

Kroger tends to load you up with **** that's about expire... and that REALLY pissed me off.

We stopped the service, and stopped using Kroger entirely... so eff them.

Judges are in the back pockets of the Washington elite. That is why saying "lock them up" is beyond absurd. None of these high level criminals are going to see a second in prison. That is exactly why they are criminals in the first place because they know they are untouchable because the judges and highly biased liberal juries will see to it.

This country is in desperate need of a third party. The blue/red BS is killing us and giving an illusion of choice. Two wings of the same bird which ensures no accountability and no transparency.

These monsters have gained so much power because so much of the public are morons who only care about bread and circus. Need collective boycotts and actual action. Shame these people and reject voting for those who take money from foreign nations and special interest groups. Find a way to destroy the alphabet agencies which are just a mafia of treasonous murderers.

Old man rant/you wanna know what grinds my gears:

Grocery stores have made it abundantly clear that they have ceased to care about walk in customers. In fact, I believe they look at them as a nuisance. It is extremely rare that they have more than two standard cashier lanes open. And if you go early in the morning or later at night, it's strictly U-Scan, which is an entirely separate set of issues. Their motive is to steer everyone towards the online ordering/pickup model.

This extremely aggravating to me, because I don't WANT someone else picking out my items. It's rife with problems/substitutions/missing items, and frankly, I don't want someone else picking out my produce.

On that note, if you DO go into the store, navigating around the "pickers" makes it an absolute chore to get up and down the aisles.

Rack.

I avoid Kroger and their tree hugger employees at all costs unless it is something Meijer doesn't have. We shop at Meijer early on Friday mornings, and breeze thru. We scan and bag w/ the app, and just download/pay at the end. Seamless. I avoid the mass of stupid customers and shop as fast or slow as I want.

On a side note.....if you are using the click list, or lazy line as I like to call it, then you are a detriment to society. There are a few exceptions....elderly, mothers w/ babies, and similar. But your avg Joe.....park your car and get your fat rear moving.

Well that is incumbent on them to fix that, and not whine about needing more money. And if they won't do it, then it is incumbent on us, to vote board members in that will MAKE them do that.
Well, the majority of teachers and those in academia lean left and vote dim so, whining about more money is what they always do.

Can you elaborate on public education problems?
The state & districts telling each kid which school they need to attend
Large number of kids not performing to their grade level.
Every student entering college that needs a remedial course.
Violence in schools
Spending too much for the "product" they don't produce
Leftist indoctrination

I understand that teachers here are held to that or similarly to those who major in gender studies degrees, but I've got 15 years of direct training with teachers and the option 6 teachers are easy to spot. Teaching as a profession is tough. There's a reason 1:5 teachers leave the classroom before their first year is up and 50% are out of the profession entirely in the first 5 years.
Sure there's a reason. Too little pay for what they are expected to put up with from the admin, parents & students. Totally lacking support.

Why is Ice chasing all the immigrants out of Home Depot parking lots, restaurants, farm fields and construction sites if they are all on welfare? You must get your info from all the foreign based X propaganda accounts like the rest of MAGA.
Nothing till Trump stopped them from doing both/double dipping.

An antisemite party would be a good idea.

He didn’t suddenly become stupid or not know how to coach. College football is all about recruiting. Everyone thinks Nick Saban is a genius because he loaded his team up with five stars and got placed in national title games and final fours.

In the NFL, you got a chance because of the salary cap.
Something MLB needs to work on too in order to balance the playing field for small market clubs.

warrior-cat - 27 years at FCPS taught me that. LOL
Yeah, I never worked at any school system, but I knew quite a few teachers over the years, and they have all complained about the pay. However, if you calculate the time off and the time spent working you could see that their pay is not bad considering. Spring break, summer break, fall break, Christmas break, and all of the other holidays off. Summer jobs were a thing for a few I knew.

Let these teachers get paid what soldiers get paid for the hours they put in and then they would have a right to complain.

Starting teachers in Fayette Co. earn almost 51,000 dollars. And, once they get their rank 1 (which they have 10 years to do IIRC) tops out at around 100,000
I know Oklahoma is one of the lowest in pay for teachers in the US and for the lowest end here it is around 47-49K a year depending on what site you look at. Still, that is about 4K a month low end. I did not go into the top end for those who had been in for a while, but when you consider Oklahoma ranks near the bottom every year and in some years 50th in education, what do they expect? Plus, Oklahoma's cost of living is the lowest in the nation so...

According to a WalletHub study, Oklahoma's education system is ranked 50th out of 51 locations (including Washington, D.C.) based on various metrics related to educational quality and safety. The state scored a total of 32.62 points out of 100, with a particularly low score in quality education, where it ranked last.

I believe that teachers are quite fairly compensated, and I also believe that public education is MORE than adequately funded. Probably more than need be. Money isn't the problem. The problem is that schools are trying to fix the unfixable, and in doing so, are failing at the principal job with which they've been tasked. And, as is always the case, when the government inevitably steps in and tries to help, they compound the problems exponentially.
Wait...are you saying the government screws things up?

Agree. But, MLB didn't start with salary caps. Instead, they controlled player movement with the Reserve Clause. When that was tossed out in 1975-76 or so, the dominance of the big market clubs increased. Reds GM Bob Howsam predicted it when the Reds couldn't afford their '76 championship team afterwards.

There's a luxury clause on big spenders that remits a pittance to the small market teams, but hardly dents the imbalance. Most teams, say 20/30, want salary control, but the players hate it & the dominant big market teams oppose it. I wonder why. I think a players strike is predicted for 2026 over the issue.

My understanding is that Kroger is killing its delivery service and Walmart is considering that same. Kroger's pickup is such a crap show that they are evaluating the program. Myself, I can't stand to go into stores anymore, but the pickup thing sucks too because I can't trust Chad to pick a quality product. If you order any kind of perishable it will most likely be old, tiny, molded, or just straight up poor quality.

Plus, if you don't pay close attention they will jack your bill all up. They also "accidently" forget items you get charged for, or they add things you didn't order but get charged for and never receive. Good effing luck getting it fixed if you don't catch it at pickup. Gotta watch like a hawk.

When a Republican is indicted attorney/client privilege doesn't even stand in the way, when a Dem is indicted " prosecutor unlawfully appointed" gets charges dismissed...

It's also hilarious that the judge demanded the Grand Jury evidence , and then decides the prosecutor was illegitimate.
Yea, at some point we all just need to accept that the elite simply can’t be touched. I know Trump wanted to clean up the Swamp, but it’s pretty apparent the Swamp has won and Trump’s DOJ is nothing more than a paper tiger.

Was at Kroger in Lexington this evening. 445pm ish. I was shocked to see that they had at least 5-6 cashier lanes open, and both ends of self-checkout. Trader Joe's for a couple things and every register was open.

I didn't say he became stupid and didn't know how to coach. Don't know where you're getting that. I'm not invested in anything he does whatsoever.

Trump was going to do that his last term but chickened out or was bought out of it. To me it was one of the bigger disappointments in his first administration.

@HymanKaplan Thought you might appreciate this. 13% of students who took a UC San Diego math assessment could not perform at first-grade level, and 25% of kids got the equation 7 + 2 = [ ] + 6 wrong.

That is so far beyond alarming that it's scary.
