Just was never able to get over the hump. Not the only one. Wish him the best. But time to move on…5 years over due.
I think I might rather see Franklin get a lifetime contract than hire Kiffin. He is an unbelievable scumbag.

There’ll be a lot of replies but, honestly, I think a lot of people have tuned out already. It’s been a slow train wreck we’ve all seen coming for years. I think most are just over it now until a new coach is named.

By far the biggest disappointment in terms of play on the field is the offensive line. They have talent, experience and depth. Lions shoulda been able to run hog wild first 3 games.
I’m not advocating to stay with Franklin. I said that I think Meyer is a risky hire. It’s an opinion.

I mean he's been out of the game for a while, and he's no spring chicken. Having said that the guy is a proven winner at the college level. Having said that, NO WAY he's ever the HC at Penn State. Charles Huff is a very, very interesting name.

One concern I have is some psycho fan(s) harassing CJF and his family. I have no doubt there will be discussions tonight and in the days ahead in the Franklin household and Pat Kraft will have a meeting(s) to discuss a pathway.
I in no way loathe CJF but he is paid an incredible salary and great success is the expectation..
I believe CJF is a really nice guy and truly cares about his players; perhaps too much to come down hard when the effort/execution is lacking. I think he has taken the PSU football program as far as he can. For this season,, the administration gave everything he asked for and the result has been underwhelming and disappointing. The results on the field speak for themselves and demonstrate a leaderless, undisciplined team. Him, his staff, and players have to take an indepth look at themselves. Hard decisions face Pat Kraft and the administration.

After Sandusky PSU is not hiring an unethical coach with a troubled past, such as hiding allegations of domestic abuse against one of his asst coaches. He gets amnesia when things go down and develops “health” issues when he is heading out the door. 0% chance Urban is approached by PSU.

No one mentions Gruden. I think he'd be perfect. I'd also think hard about luring Manny Diaz back. We don't need some up and comer. We need a fixer, then an up and comer.

Buckeye fan here. I couldn't agree with this more! All of us at the party today were saying Cignetti could be a great choice to start to right the ship.

Nope. Exactly the same now. Prior to NIL, Urban’s leverage was threatening a kids scholarship if he didn’t perform up to his expectations. Can’t use that when a kid has deposited money into his account. Which is exactly the same reason he can’t win in the NFL.
