Still crazy what he did with the lawsuit. SMH.
especially because his virtual counterpart Markus Howard has had almost the same exact career. undrafted, cup of nba covid coffee , overseas.

nba has a pretty undeniable track record in not valuing guys of their size.

Markus Howard is listed 5' 10" and slight of frame. When you're guarded by guys half a foot taller and just as fast, its hard getting that shot up.

Not sure that Howard and Powell are good examples of undersized players being undervalued. Sometimes, skills don't translate from one level to the next.

Howard spent two full years on an NBA roster and played 68 games. Powell jumped around a bunch and played 11 games.

Where they differ is one could play the point and the other couldn't.

Lack of size is definitely a thing in the league but it can be overcome. Trae Young is 6-1. Chris Paul has done ok for himself at 6-0.

You picked 2 outliers. Both top 5 picks. These guys are better than Powell and Howard.

Powell wasn't a point so he wasn't making it at a 6'2" shooting guard with suspect D. Howard got a chance over 2 years and didn't show enough to do it. Or in your parlance, they didn't overcome.

Of course they're outliers. They're small men playing in a big man's league. So is Steph Curry (and his four rings). And Fred VanVleet.

How about Kyle Lowry or TJ McConnell or Jose Alvarado. And, yeah they're all better than Powell and Howard.
