6’6.5 will make it hard for him to make it in nba until he can put the call in the floor and play defense in space rather than just the paint. Another year may not solve that. He could be a great college player and not make in in nba. It happens. His height will be a problem for his skill set

Agree. His offensive game is that of a 5. He's not going to be very productive on the blocks against 7 footers in the NBA. Sags should stay all 4 years, get his degree, and work on his handle and his J. The only way he'll have any chance at ever making a roster in the NBA is if he makes drastic improvements in those areas.

He'll likely end up doing well overseas. That's just my opinion.

He’s a good player but totally not ready for NBA. He needs to come back another year and improve his stock, game and continue to develop. He could get more free education and win a national title while developing his career skills as a basketball player. Coming back for his junior year is a win win.

You're right.

He'll post Boogie and Anthony Davis on the block. He'll dunk all over Karl Anthony Towns. He'll take Durant off the dribble.

Those athletic 7 footers have no chance against a 6 6.5" guy.

I also see him leading the league in 3pt fg%.

And when he comes back, will you continue to argue that your opinion is just as valid is his own?

Not a single NBA GM has him in this yesr’s First round.... most don’t have him in the draft at all...

But what do they know?

How bad could it possibly be to come back to WVU and be one of the biggest stars on campus in a college sports crazed state and be the star player on a legit top 5-10 college basketball team? How bad can it be to play on a legit national title contender? How bad can it be to be the top player, the star player on a top Big 12 team? The Big 12 is a top basketball conference. How bad can it be to better yourself 1 more year in a great atmosphere, situation?

Outside of Will Grier, who will be bigger than Konate if he returns to WVU? Konate will be a major star at WVU if he comes back. He will also get better and improve his draft status for next year. How bad can it be????????

How bad would it be if he returns and gets hurt?

Speaking on both sides...
of your mouth ..

I just feel he's Konote is ready...it doesn't serve him personally to return...whether he goes
to D league or Europe, 1st...

He's more NBA ready than any one whose played for WVU, in years...
Including Carter...
Carter needs to improve his shooting percent...yes, Carter's defence is recognized...

You'll support him once he makes NBA,
but it's a sin for him to leave WVU....

Both side of mouth mofo...

We'll see...

Huggins system
Does not reward scorers...
does not reward shooters...
Even you knows that..

Everyone leaves WVU, eventually..
except you who still lives in Mom's basement..

You all are a cute dichotomy...

You root for players to be successful but then bad mouth them
when they experiment with moving on to a paying opportunity
(NBA qualification)...

It's not like accuracy or credibility matters here in this "make believe"
cyber world, which you live...

Everyone eventually leaves WVU
except for a few like _______>

Nobody is badmouthing Sags. People are simply giving their opinions about his NBA readiness/potential. Every real Mountaineer fan on this planet wants him to succeed.

Take a Xanax drama queen.

The nba and college basketball are nothing alike. Pat White was a great college football player but not a nfl player. That’s not wishing him to fail. It’s just facts. When Konate measured in at 6’6.5 that means he really needs more skill on the outside. Period. How is thatvwishing him to fail.

Didn't you graduate from Pitt?

You lost me after Pitt....

To win a conversation here
you have to
" bad mouth" one of the best players ever at WVU...Konate

No one did that....

To lose one, you have to say “he’s gone” the same day he announces he’s back

We're sorry but a referee was forced to step in. You were giving the English language such a beating that it could no longer defend itself.

I could care less
about "you all's so called" rivals credibility...
You have to live here, I visit occasionally

I think he's as ready to move on,
as he could be... staying w Huggins is the easiest path vice Europe or D league ....

Easiest path is to stay at WVU,
this year and try again, next year...

Amazing you all bad mouth
a player,
until he stays....then he's your boy

It's not something that can be proven as it is merely an opinion but I think your statement that Konate is more NBA ready than anyone who has played for WVU in years, including Carter is pretty stupid. The shot blocking aspect of Konate is intriguing but Carter is a much more polished basketball player and there are videos of Carter's combine highlights and he looks like he belongs, at least when matched up against other players who are trying to make it to the NBA.

Point taken...

But Carter will NBA struggle
unless he's in the right NBA system...love Carter...again,
love Carter but his shooting percentage has to inprove...
2nd rounder maybe...hope late 1st, BUT

Konate is more ready than Joe Alexander...

Huggins does not place a premium on shooting %....exit Teddy Allen
This is why Huggins does not produce NBA players, while at WVU

I goto a lot of NBA games

Not unless he grows 2 more inches or proves he can run the point like Draymond did at Sparty
yup..I think it's safe to say that Tyler Hansbrough was a great college basketball player..he's the only player in history to be 1st team all-acc four years in a row..A legit 6' 9" and he's playing ball in China.

Hansborough couldn’t hurdle a quarter on the ground... that was his flaw, not size

Sags blows his athleticism out of the water

Sags is 6’7.5.... in shoes. Guys that size don’t go first round no matter what because the great unknown is “how will they adjust to the size” of the current NBA
