Wacky: It’s been over 6 years since we last defeated the Friars at The Rock, 1/22/2020.

They’ve won 4 consecutive on our home floor.

Talk about a different world; also the night Romaro Gill went nuts on the pick-and-roll.

Either this team is resilient and we’re gonna show some toughness or this could really ugly. As bad as Providence has been, they’ve played a lot of close games, playing better as of late, and have played without their best player.

Providence is easily among the top 5 teams in the league from an offensive talent perspective. They can roll out 3-4 guys at a given time who can get buckets a variety of different ways.

Game could very well depend on how the game is officiated. When we beat them there back in December the refs let us play our game & we actually shot better from 3 than they did. Also, Hines sat out with an injury that game.

Saturday night was terrible blowing a 9-point lead with 1:30ish left for a team with our kind of defense, but when you make so many glaring grade-school level mistakes against a team that hits all 3’s, that’s what happens. Prior to that I thought we played well outside of Trout. So I’m hopeful.

Wednesday night is a clash of styles. Again, another high-powered offense looking to score with a piss poor defense. Polar opposites.

I expect it to be tense and tedious, per usual, LOL. Let’s get a couple wins this week and restore some hope. We’re better than these teams.
