You can have your beef with the campaign but I have never seen Starkville, the university, and fanbase united as it was this weekend. In my opinion it was awesome solely based on the response it got and who participated in it...people taking pics from a cotton field in the delta to Hanoi.no matter who or where you are you participated in marketing the school nationally and internationally..Great job MSU..stay the course and there's no telling what we can accomplish from being united like we have been this weekend. Just don't give up because of a loss to a juggernaut..Keep believing and you won't be disappointed
In ISIS I trust

Good post and acnowledgement of what was a very good week for our university and football program. Worldwide fanbase support and a lot of exposure. Win or lose it was going to be a success.

The nimrods that don't like #webelieve are just pissed at the attention and excitement State and the team are getting. Haters gonna hate. It makes me laugh seeing the negativity thrown about for #webelieve. It's no "30 on 30", but...

Only thing I didnt like was hanging it on Bryant and Sabans statues. It didnt cause them to win but last thing we needed to do was poke them with a stick and thats what that did.

Well said. The worst part is the MSU "fans" that are bitching about it. The ones that say we shouldn't have been running our mouths. In my opinion those fans should go ahead and just pull for Bama. They will be happier.

Lame slogan

The idea was great, united the fan base, etc.........

But "we believe" just sounds almost pathetic to me. Like a "we can win with heart" mindset, which is ********. It just sounded like little man syndrome.

because I thought it made us look too small time. Like it would take a miracle for us to beat another team in the same conference as us when we are somewhere between the 3rd and 7th best team in the league. It's not like we were a CUSA team trying to compete against an SEC Champ. But after seeing us play Saturday night, maybe the slogan was a little more appropriate than I thought.

I still think a few stupid mistakes (JB not fielding the punt and giving up an extra 15-20 yards of field position, which let them get in field goal range; not getting away from the shanked punt, although maybe it was too loud to hear; not trying to block the edge on the field goal attempt; playcalling on the goal line) made it a lot worse than it should have been. Based on the 97 yd drive, I think we would have settled down in the second half and played respectable had we not proceeded to give them three offensive possessions in a row. But if Bama made a mistake last night, we didn't take advantage of it. I guess we had an interception that we dropped. Other than that, I don't remember anything they did that gave us a chance. If we had played mistake free, I still think Bama would have come close to covering.

Disappointing to lay an egg like that in a big game, but it doesn't really affect my outlook for the rest of the season. Bama is better than I thought, and we got confirmation that some of the areas we were concerned about are going to be an issue against good teams, but on the flip side, LSU is much worse than last year although we still need our DL to step up to stop their run. A&M, while dangerous, is turnover prone and we have them at home. Ark is still a dumpster fire, and UM had trouble handling A&M at home after getting what, a 5+ turnover differential.

If the team doesn't get discouraged, we should still get to 9-3 and 10-2 is still within reach.

Small time. Perfect description. Very CUSAish.

I'm with you Hotmop. This was out (the fanbase) way of sayingWe believe in our players, our coaches, and our team when nobody else wants too. All season, the "pundits" have poopooed our wins our record and our schedule. When it came time to play Bama the talked about us like we were a D-3 team playing for a check. This was our way of letting the team know that we are behind them no matter what. SPMT, you think it is "little man syndrome?" Maybe you are the one with little man syndrome. So 17 you and those like you and like Hotmop said. You are an asshat.

I disagree. I looked at it mainly because of how little respect and chance the team was getting nationally. It was less than 1% of people that weren't affiliated with MSU that even gave us a chance. To me, that was more showing the team, "Hey... don't worry about what everyone else is saying.. we believe in you." If they started this at the start of the week, then I'd be more prone to agree with you.

Thanks for proving my point, dipshit. The "pundits" were correct. Bama could have scored another 21. They clearly called the dogs off half way through the second quarter. At times Bama looked like they were at practice.

We knew we would have less talent, sadly we were unprepared as well and played scared.

Typical loser State fan.

No, you missed the meaning of the whole "movement". If this was our slogan for the season I would agree that it is CUSAish. But as stated, the SA president started the movement because no one outside of the MSU fanbase gave us and chance. It was our fans showing the team that if no one else believed, we did.

What would you have suggested? Another phrase? Say nothing? The fan base should stay silent?

Another phrase.

Something about taking respect or something that didn't make it sound like we needed a miracle. But just to be clear, I'm not complaining that we did it. I would much rather have what we did than do nothing. I just wasn't crazy about the slogan. But I guess the slogan was right that we did need a miracle.

This isn't about the pundits being right. This is about standing behind our team and supporting them. So 17 you. You may now go back and blow Saban. Don't forget to swallow.
