John is forever in my memory, hitting that stepback 3 in OT vs Michigan.

And years earlier, reading about John, Darryl and Gerald committing to SHU in Hoops Weiss' column in the NY Daily News, imagining them paired with Mark Bryant, and finally thinking this PJ guy might actually be able to make us competitive. Maybe SnakeTom saw a FF ahead, I was hoping to avoid the 8-9 game.

Thanks John. NEVER GONNA FORGET WHAT YOU DID FOR SETON HALL.

This is how old I am. I remember the day I walked to my convenience store about a half mile away on a Saturday to buy the NY Post. On my way home I saw a small blurb saying that Morton had committed to the Hall.

I had seen him play at Columbia (NY) in a HS tournament after the season concluded and knew without a doubt in my mind he would be a superstar for the Pirates. Gerald Green played in the same tournament, but although I liked him he didn't hold a candle to Morton..

During the game I sat next to a guy who was yelling for Morton like a lunatic. We started to talk and I found out he was his dad. Dad told me what everyone knew, that his son wanted to go to SJU but Louie wasn't interested. I lied to him and said I was very close to PJ, and Carlesimo couldn't stop talking about John and how good he will be in the conference. ;)
