Was quite a talented song writer. Didn't really appreciate him until I came across his broadcasts on SiriusXM where he gave the back stories for many famous hits and who sang them.

Not mine either, but when I stumble across one of his comeback-era songs (1970s)), I keep it on and enjoy it. reminds me of being a kid, I guess.

Same here. Wasn't much of a fan back then. But hearing his songs later in my life brought me back to my youth.
