RU loads the bases in the bottom of 8th, but freshman Serruto strikes out. Faced a tough rigthy sidewinder.

Our Softball team is getting beat by Michigan 8-1 late in the game.

Hung tough against a solid team like they did against Indiana State 3x. But the result is still 0-1 in the series, you’ve used your only reliable starter, and two of your top three relievers have thrown a lot of pitches already. They’ve got to start hitting for Henry Rutkowski a little bit.

I think RU should save Rutkowski for Sat or Sunday , instead of matching him up against the other teams ACE every Friday for the weekend series. At least then we might win 1 of the 3.

Tomorrow and Sunday Ohio St will probably score in double digits.

I'm going to watch the RU football intra squad scrimmage tomorrow morning, then the baseball game at 1pm. Weather looks good.

Most of the other Big Ten teams have multiple “Rutkowski’s”.

That's not true. Far from it. Of starting Big10 pitchers with at least 40 innings pitched, Rutkowski is near the top in ERA.

You are a broken record... A hater of the Head Coach, we get it, but your constant rhetoric over and over and over and over, is pathetic. Hobbs will make a decision at the end of the season. Your interjecting of voluminous ripping of the team takes away the enjoyment of most of us following the team.
After this post, I am putting you on ignore, as you contribute nothing worthwhile for me to read. Hope you drown (figuratively, not literally) in your sad, pathetic morass of misery.

very true. A good big ten team has two.

maybe me too. I wouldnt say most teams have multiple. However the upper half probably do. Stacking as it is called is considered unsportsmanlike as you may be aware. Highly obvious when you have one good pitcher. If you have one that is somewhat close you can maybe do it. Not with our starters imo.

There is no decision to deal with. If hobbs has to make a decision that is a major issue. I would stop talking about firing the coach if I knew he would be fired. He never should have been hired has set and broken his own lloss record and will set it for a third time if he finishes the team. I appreciate your point. However I cannot enjoy rutgers baseball with him running this program. It has nothing to do with beijng a hater of the coach he is not qualified. He never was and has been worse then the terrible expectations which was difficult.

You may have the wrong guy. Always appreciate your posts. The baseball team is worthy of suggestions & criticism. We participate. We do not compete. The schedule and the make up of the staff and roster do not make sense for a team whose goal is to compete for a Big Ten title. I pull for Rutgers in every possible way, but major changes are needed. No personal attacks on any one or their efforts.

This team is in the running for worst win % in the history of Rutgers Baseball. They're gunning for the 5-17 squad of 1979. Right now, it's a close race 23%(79') to 26%(19'). It's pathetic that Litterio is still the head coach. Seems the only person who didn't see this season coming was Patrick Hobbs.

Way to stick it out and get that first conference win! Been in a lot of close games lately, and glad to see it pay off with a win.

Maybe the pitching is coming around. Only seven earned runs in the last 44 innings.

I was at the Football scrimmage in the morning, then Baseball and Softball games in the afternoon.

Big crowds for the Baseball and Softball games, more than I've ever seen there before, maybe the nice weather and Conference home openers had something to do with it. Our pitchers threw well, team needs better hitting obviously, but they scratched out 1 win in extra innings.

A Fun Day On The Banks !!

In so many RU sports it seems that we are pretty decent on defense but no appreciable offense.
