I won't lament the injuries because everyone has them. MSU has a bunch of injuries too. Actually it feels like lots of teams have had key injuries this year, kinda feels more than normal but that's just anecdotal watching the college shows and reading the news.
But speaking of elite teams well who's left that's really elite? I'd say Michigan is the best B10 team to date and OSU is next but they've been up and down. Everyone else has been unimpressive and if anything yesterday's game should make you feel better about the rest of the games except those two.
Did you see how Nebraska lost yesterday against Wisconsin? They're finding new ways to lose at the end of the game. I mentioned it in another thread. Wisconsin was trailing 21-20. Wisconsin missed a 38yd FG off the upright with about 1:26 left but 3 timeouts (see why it's good to be judicious using them), Nebraska punts and Wisconsin drives down the field for 40 some yd FG and again off the upright but this time it goes in with a couple secs left. Nebraska doesn't do much on the ensuing kickoff.
Could we get blown out? Sure it's always possibl but I thought yesterday's game should have brightened your outlook for the remaining games except Michigan/OSU. I thought the DL played more physically yesterday than we have been and the blitzing was great to see. Can we keep it up? Well we'll find out.
