Our two leaders last year DID NOT CARE about winning

it was all about their stats and their draft position.

when you have leaders that care - it shows throughout the whole team.
No one likes losing. They came here with unrealistic expectations

Nice start of the season by Rutgers. Offensively, they will need to do better finishing around the rim, but part of it was likely opening night jitters. Last year including Big Ten play Ogbole shot around 58% from the field mainly on layups, putbacks and dunks. They didn’t and shouldn’t try to force the ball in to him, but I wouldn’t expect him to go 0-5 night after night. Defensively he looked much better and rebounded well. Badalau went 1-12, but shot much better in practice. Unlike Ogbole he has not shown he can score efficiently in college. Hopefully, he will settle in.

Wonder if the leading scorers will be Francis, Grant, Davis and Buchanan, who were the best offensive players this game or if Zrno and Badalau or some other player will step up.

Based on playing time and how they played I think Fall has fallen to 4th string center, but Pikiel will probably work with him and try to develop him so he can step up for big Ten play. Would not be surprised if he is given multiple chances to play to get ready for Big Ten play. For now Dortch seems like the best backup and Ware played better than expected.

Was nice to see the game such a blowout that all 13 players that are available to play this year played. All 13 players will not be used once we get to Big Ten play, but not sure which ones will step up and be used consistently.
