Shelby’s logic is that the sewers in Pennsyltucky don’t stink. In fact, nobody’s sewers stink except for the Schiano household. Okay, then…
That said, I too have Plum’s not so good feeling. Dantonio has been working some magic to salve the Tucker wounds and they piece it together for a late season run. Green 24, Scarlet 7.
While I get the point, MST is going to gameplan for mostly against the run even if 70 and sunny with no wind. Meanwhile- MST relies more on a passing attack. The rain will make that easier for us to defend.Bad weather makes us even more reliant on the run, and therefore even more predictable and easily-defended than usual.
23-13 green team.
If dry, 24-20 red team.
Yes, but he did. RU seems to make a lot more mistakes and be on the wrong end of screw referee calls compared to other teams. RU occasionally beats MSU so they don’t have our number like PSU, OSU, UM, Minny, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska.Well I think we win…. have you watched MSU ? We’ll see and you do realize if Gavin doesn’t throw that interception that game at Wisconsin is much different. I realize turnovers count and I think we can turn them over . Just can’t see why you think they are going to win.Because theyhad a bye week? We’ll see soon.

MSU is a mess and RU is at home. Avoid the pick-6, blown assignments, complete 50% of passes and get a fair deal on penalties.
Expect a win … something like 24-13.
Which mistakes are we more prone to? We are 4th in the B1G on least penalized and 16 in the nation on TO margin and 3 in the B1g for TO margin.Yes, but he did. Yes even at home we have gotten screwed on an important call which definitely impacted game. Remember the play where a touchdown to the RU TE was called back . O lineman several yards downfield( really?) . Was it a Louisville game not 2006?For better or worse, if a biased whistle really is a thing (I’m not saying it is) I can’t imagine we’d be on the wrong end of it Saturday. First, we’re home so the crowd factor will favor us. Conspiracy theory wise, it would be better for the conference right now (or at worst neutral) for us to win this game. A 6+ win Rutgers and hype for the local tristate team is good for the BIG.
What’s a pouring light drizzle ? Is that anything like a one pound quarter pounder at McDonald’s ?Rutgers 6 msu 3 in a pouring light drizzle.
I have a bad feeling about this one.
Michigan state 24, rutgers 9
this board gonna meltdown Saturday afternoon. I really really hope I am wrong
Ha. I don’t think so . I think even the the schiano fans like myself will melt down. Even guys like al will probably melt down as we face another disaster seasonIf MSU pulls the upset I’d imagine there will be a lot of “MSU is different without Tucker. Two different teams. Only 3pt spread isn’t really an upset. We got screwed by them getting rid of Tucker.”
ohNo, Al won’t melt down. He’ll blame the loss on not having a Fieldhouse and claim the rebuild should take even longer than anyone thought….therefore 2.0 needs an extension at double salary.
Shocker from the faux fan.Bad weather makes us even more reliant on the run, and therefore even more predictable and easily-defended than usual.

looks like the attention seekers are getting attentionShocker from the faux fan.
he doesn't realize that if it is a wet rainy day- the team that relies on passing is effected more than the team that relies on the run. Mst has 1250 yds in the air 600 on the ground(almost all by Carter)Shocker from the faux fan.
you are wrong on that. I wouldn't care where that happened, that program should have been shut down. All the more reason I have zero respect for the ncaa. If that happened at RU I'd still say shut it downnot that i care, but never once have i said something about that program good or bad. it’s amusing that somehow i’ve been labeled a Cuse fan.
if anything, the incorrect opinion should be that I’m a Nittany Lion fan because i’ve often said positive things about the academic and athletic programs there which are unrelated to the scandal. i find the rampant PSU scorn here to be puerile jealousy of a profoundly superior football program one state over.
if the same scandal happened anywhere else but PSU, nobody here would have the same outrage, proving it’s our little brother Remus Complex more than anything else. All BIG10 universities are top notch. Being an everything PSU hater over something that happened 20 years ago is pathetic. Be disgusted by JS and JP all you like, same as me, but that’s where the hate should end.
yup, rain favors the run baby!!!!!!!!he doesn't realize that if it is a wet rainy day- the team that relies on passing is effected more than the team that relies on the run. Mst has 1250 yds in the air 600 on the ground(almost all by Carter)
Rutgers has 967 in the air and 1040 on the ground.
too funny. great for the fans but the rain would have put us even more in favor.yup, rain favors the run baby!!!!!!!!
but it looks like it is clearing up which had me saying earlier, 'God hates Rutgers'
truthfully, I was hoping for a downpour and my son is supposed to play in a baseball tournament this weekend so for the jerkoffs out there with their 'faux fan' bs, I put RU over my son playing baseball.... fks (he's played in 5 tournments since sept1 so I'm also good with a breaktoo funny. great for the fans but the rain would have put us even more in favor.
I will say this though for this game- this is the first game since Flood where I feel we should beat a team that has traditionally been better than us.
This is the one thing I worry about, they do have a good run defense. On the other hand- we have a pretty good pass defense.truthfully, I was hoping for a downpour and my son is supposed to play in a baseball tournament this weekend so for the jerkoffs out there with their 'faux fan' bs, I put RU over my son playing baseball.... fks (he's played in 5 tournments since sept1 so I'm also good with a break
I don't know, I think MSU has talent and their lines are still better than our lines. They've played well against the run and they get upfield pressure. I just don't have confidence in our offense to be honest but you know this
I still think MSU wins and with the int last week, Greg will be more conservative early
Who exactly do you not have respect for ? Do you know who makes the NCAA policies which guide decisions ?you are wrong on that. I wouldn't care where that happened, that program should have been shut down. All the more reason I have zero respect for the ncaa. If that happened at RU I'd still say shut it down
that said, MSU wins 24-10 as I don't see our running game beating them. MSU is solid vs the run
Udub is awesome, should be top 5. MD offense is hard to pin down, osu struggled too. This is the one thing I worry about, they do have a good run defense. On the other hand- we have a pretty good pass defense.
Also, looking closer, MAryland and Washnington moved the ball on the ground pretty well on them. They just happened to shut down Richmond, Central Mich and Iowa.
Lmao was thinking the same thing. Do these people even watch the games?Which mistakes are we more prone to? We are 4th in the B1G on least penalized and 16 in the nation on TO margin and 3 in the B1g for TO margin.
MST is 127 in the nation in TO margin MST is also last in the B1G for most penalized and they have only played 5 games. -
The ref calls- I agree but we are far from mistake prone. and certainly do not make a lot more mistakes than MST...
Here’s a tip. The word is ‘affected’. Normally I stop reading when the moron line is crossed but I’m in a sporting mood so I’ll bend my rules for you. Where you’re wrong is, just because a team has more passing yards than rushing yards it doesn’t mean their running game isn’t also better. Apples to oranges. It depends who they played, who their Qb is, etc. Every matchup is different. In sloppy weather, it’s better to have a reduced passing game than hardly any at all. I can’t even imagine the accuracy issues GW will have with a wet ball.he doesn't realize that if it is a wet rainy day- the team that relies on passing is effected more than the team that relies on the run. Mst has 1250 yds in the air 600 on the ground(almost all by Carter)

What does this even mean ? First time since flood ? We have only had one coach in between then. You must have a really low opinion of rutgers football .too funny. great for the fans but the rain would have put us even more in favor.

bad take…he just doesn’t know the history. Every P5 program is ‘traditionally better’ but we expected to win a few, and we did. What does this even mean ? First time since flood ? We have only had one coach in between then. You must have a really low opinion of rutgers football .
Even ash beat Illinois and purdue - 2 programs traditionally better . Schiano 2.0 has already beaten Virginia tech, BC , Syracuse. .. all programs “traditionally better”.
Northwestern has been traditionally better and we beat them !
Schiano also beat Michigan state already !
Very concerning that you didn’t feel we could beat any of those teams as you said.
But yet we did.
Talk about being a negative Nancy !

VaTech does count. Now, how many years in the B1G and we have heard many times we should hope to become a Mich St like program. What does this even mean ? First time since flood ? We have only had one coach in between then. You must have a really low opinion of rutgers football .

I love RU but once again I can't pass up MSU +89.5 and the Under.Rutgers Scarlet Knights 92
Michigan State Spartans 3
As always, I reserve the right to modify my prediction as we get closer to game time.
