Well the time has come, yalls nights of smiling over some good wins is about to cease... enjoy the banter this week, because when we roll into the freezing cold stadium we are bringing a butt whooping

With the nonsense out of the way, I have been here like 20 years, and this Lincolnton bunch has always been some of my favorites.... Mr. Lincolnton himself is not only one of the finest ever on preps but just a wonderful human being I am happy to call a friend....I respect that program over there and their fans....

I am looking forward to this matchup.. It should be a good one.....

Shelby by at least 17 :)

and if I am wrong Ill be the first to come here and say it.. Enjoy the weeks fellas... bring on the smack talk to ole Shelby Lion....

Officiating has been awful this year. I think we had a decent crew our first game, but since then itā€™s been bad every week. No idea what to expect from them next week. As far as the two teams are concerned, I know Shelby is better and is expected to win. Itā€™ll take a great performance by the Wolves and weā€™ll have to win the turnover battle to have a chance.

Yes, sometimes referees make mistakes. But as my high school baseball coach said once, when you get it perfect, then maybe you can say something.

No Body deserves this crap, you do your best and you deserve to be respected and appreciated.

When I served 11 years as Commissioner of a youth football program, I made sure two things happened each year.
First I met with the high school officials that called our games, and I would say, this game is not about you, so if you have an attitude park it and leave it in the car. Next if you make a mistake, and know you made a mistake, correct it right then. Not two, three, four plays later.
and third, do not put up with any disrespect from the players or the coaches. Period.

Then I would meet with the coaching staffs and I would let it be known, NO ONE Disrespects the Officials. If they make a mistake, talk respectfully about it, and then whatever they decide is final. Period.

In 11 years, we never had a problem. A fact that I am very proud of.

Shelby Lion, thank you for the kind words. I too, appreciate your friendship, greatly. Always look forward to having you and our Shelby neighbors in town, even though it typically results in a loss for us. Hope 65 Lion and SHS Lion will get to make the trip. Be sure and bring your jackets. My cousin, who is old, like me, says the reason it gets so cold is because of that areas bloody history, LOL.

Don't get mad at me, and no hubris intended, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Wolves beat you. We're not bad, this year. Like you, though, I'll always offer my congratulations if we lose. Thanks for making us a thread.

My friend, you're always welcome to come visit with me. I rarely sit, but I can change things up to accommodate you and me pretty easy, I'd think.

If you want to come down, we'll sit together, and I'll find us a place to sit. Might not be the best, since there are reserved seats (If they still do that), but it'll be alright.

Concerning notoriety, generally speaking, our people are some of the best and most tolerant people on earth. They're nice and they are tough, but They're slow to anger and happy to see others succeed.

They have tolerated me for nearly three quarters of a century, consider that. The only thing they might have noticed about you is that you enjoy poking at me, which would give them a laugh...Let me know sometime, Friday afternoon, if you decide to come this way.

This game will depend on turnovers , who has them and who is capitalize on them.
Both teams are fast..both have lot of athletes..
Im Shelby guy , but I feel Shelby D will have to play like it can, But I belive Shelbys air attack - run combo will be hard to stop. Theres at least 4-5:rec and 3 different backs....and Tate is a handful..
I belive it's close early on but Shelby wins by 14

Is this the same Tate, little guy- Shelby had last year? Linc has one of those too- fast but some bigger. They can throw too. Donā€™t take em lightly.

From what I hear the other picture you posted was called. It was negated with a hold and a personal foul.
Get over the loss by obviously a better team and learn to type as well.

No this is Jaylen Tate. 5-9. 210. Squats 525 pounds saw him do it..hand full to tackle...
Other Tate was Tristen. He was fun to watch

Shelby returns a bunch. 2 of high profile kids are soph..Tee Hollifield and Tyson Williams..and 45 Killeus Hunt a Jr..
Qb pos..will be one to Fig out after Lan graduate.

There appeared to be a ā€œwhat the heckā€ attitude the whole game. The clock- never seen anything like it. It was like an octopus was pushing random buttons. Burns- penalties. They continued all night, especially when SC had the ball on third down. A call would give them just enough to make a first down. Our team is mostly juniors and sophomores - we are sometimes over zealous- but really- talk about home field advantage. I asked people around me- are we really making all these penalties? Maybe- but I think it was selective seeing, they caught each mistake we made and virtually did not notice the holding on the other side on almost every play, just an observation. ????
