The gay community seems to have an awful lot of other communities visiting violence upon them and they all think they're right for doing so.

The Orlando shooting is a disaster for the politicians. ISIS has moved the bar. Open warfare has been declared on a known ISIS enemy, the gay community. I predict the LBGT community will wilt before the hot barrel of an AR-15. This act, IMO, will drive people back into the closet.

Good Lord.

Nope. The LGBT community are about to gear up and get armed. They have already mobilized a tank.

It's over. The LGBT community will do America's dirty work by killing off every Muslim living in America

Problem is, they don't know how to use it. They will just wind up getting blown up putting their mouth around the flash suppresser during firing.

I swear I wish this was real! Then you could say the gays had more backbone than our president!

Obama stood in front of a nation to let us know everything is an option including doing nothing!

Good job president.

I'd vote for a gay man over Hilary. Might paint some rooms in the white house pink, but I bet he'd be more aggressive vs. Isis and terrorists than her.

Of course, the left has not taken responsibility in the last 50 years or so. It is always someone else's fault because they can do no wrong. Problem is, the progressive agenda is what is driving the train off of the tracks now.
Yep. Truth right there.

So you really don't get that the guy is a natural born US citizen? My Reagan comment was sarcasm but if you could maybe open your mind and look back in history you would see at the time the Afghans were considered our allies at the time his parents came over as they were fighting Russia, who was our enemy, so it's not as simple as keep "those" people out.

I do think if you're coming from somewhere that hates us, we should pause and do further investigation before we let you in, if we let you in at all, but that wouldn't have fixed this which is what most of you are failing to understand in this thread.

I'm all for common sense but banning guns to the point libs want is ridiculous. It hasn't changed a dam thing in Chicago or New York city. Didn't work with probation, and is clearly not working with drugs.

The Obama administration just deemed opposing political groups under a terroristic banner using the CIA only 4 years ago. So certain people that identify with the tea party shouldn't own guns?

Thus the whole problem with any sort of "special consideration." Out the window.

Not to mention liberal / Western European ideologues would love nothing more than a register of every gun owner in America, and that's exactly what comes next. Progressives do not stop. Ever.

No bending. zero.

If you radicalize which this guy did and was under watch then, that should be enough. Some of you do not understand that it is Islam not just non American Islamic jihadist that is the root. The one lacking understanding is you and the left. Your agenda keeps getting in the way and your inability to see what is going on will get you in the end.

I don't have an agenda. I'm tired of watching senseless violence in this country whether is this ****, stuff like what happened in Long Beach, or things like the Newtown shootings, Columbine, etc.

There is no doubt that we are at war and they have brought this war to us, first with 9/11 and now things like this, but in this situation, a ban wouldn't have stopped him because he was born here and it's easy to say once he was radicalized send him away, however, the laws in place to protect US citizens would not easily allow that.

There's really no way to stop lone killers if they want to kill. I know people are used to instant solutions, especially in this society today, but it's not there. This is a war, not a gun issue. Americans live with a false sense of reality in 2016 and you might as well get ready because it's really just beginning. The world's evil doesn't care about laws and your tiredness toward violence. We've not even touched the real issue at all.

Failing to understand?

I get lots of things. We can't fix the past but should not repeat it in the future. Reagan made the mistake of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. That is past.

You favor allowing people that hate the west into the west because not to do so would be Xenophobic and not enlightened. I prefer not to be enlightened.

Tony Blair gave a great speech about this around 2006 or so.

We are in a war. Not one that we are accustomed to. We must change some things to insure our way of life. Allowing thousands of Muslims into our nation insures what happened last night will happen more often in the future.

Please show me where I said open the borders and let everyone in. My point is that everyone has started acting like this guy came here when he was born here. Shutting the borders wouldn't have stopped him from coming here as he is a US citizen. However, when his *** got on a plane and went and hung out in a terrorist state for a while, it would have been nice if he had been put under more scrutiny. It is disheartening to hear that the FBI investigated him twice and were aware of him, but this still happened.

It is radical Islamic terrorism and not the fault of gun laws so, we need to seriously look at our laws concerning terrorism and the radicalization thereof. That will not end all senseless killings but, it would address one problem of it. Tackle one at a time and make sure you mean it and not look to use these killings as a means to furthering an agenda (gun control). That only makes gun owners like myself question the governments reasoning for the actions they take.

I'm not after your guns. I sleep with a 9mm in the nightstand next to my bed. I grew up around them. Most people are responsible with their guns and use them for play. People that want to use them for "evil" will find a way to get them anyway. Last I check those folks don't care about the law.

The PC atmosphere is the reason for the lack of further scrutiny. We in this nation are too afraid to say anything do to losing our jobs or being ostracized for being bigots, racist, haters, homophobes, Islamaphobes, etc.... so, the left knows this and is using this to try a get more gun control. Bad move really, many in this nation own guns. Another Civil War would ensue if they tried to take them imo.

First time in the history of civilization did a person afraid of tyranny or foreign oppression pick his first strategic point by disarming himself and his people of their best strategic weapon.

Think about that. o_O

Handguns, rifles, shotguns - all ok with me. Folks, this **** with guns may come to a head and those of us that want to protect our 2nd Amendment rights may want to consider a little give and take as it pertains to automatic weapons.

Two phrases say it all about the government. "Foot in the door" "Give and inch, take a mile".
