Nice. What brand? (Just curious, I'm not a fanboy of any particular make)

Makarov. Just realized I've had it 20 years. When I first moved to Lexington, I had some issues with someone (still all these years later don't know who it was) spreading trash across the front yard, would find footsteps in the snow, and they would call the house and leave weird messages. Next door neighbor was a retired cop. He told me he'd ask some buddies to keep an eye on the house and suggested I get some protection as well and hooked me up with it.

At Virginia Tech in 2007, Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 people with... wait for it, a hand gun. Not an AR-15. He carried nineteen ten- and fifteen-round magazines in his backpack instead so he could hide his gun. He used two hand guns to fire off around 170 shots. This was also in a gun free zone.

Fact is crazy evil people that want to kill will find a way.

Neither, all fire the same way, semiautomatically. Must pull trigger for each round.

Well the cat's out of the bag now. I was really wanting someone to think they knew the answer to be wrong and look like a dumbass.

Yeah, they probably would not have answered because they really don't know and they only listen to their leaders who's only agenda is to take weapons away from the masses all the while having private security all of whom carry weapons to protect those who consider themselves above the law.

Handguns, rifles, shotguns - all ok with me. Folks, this **** with guns may come to a head and those of us that want to protect our 2nd Amendment rights may want to consider a little give and take as it pertains to automatic weapons.

Keep proving our points for us.

Automatic weapons [pfftt]

The treason Lobby gets no bend. Your answer to gun violence was just put on display last year in France.

Result: 130 deaths.

No thanks.

Do not confuse them more.
Too late, they were confused at gun ownership. They really do not understand why we have them. We should all agree to be controlled by the left because they will take care of us.

Senseless tragedy.

It's already being spun in every way imaginable.

I wish the global tone of religion and politics would get less hateful. Sad day to be a human.

Brillyant.

I don't know what you believe in but I do know my religion hasn't been killing people of different faiths since the beginning of time. Let me believe what I want too, and I will let you. Just don't force it down my throat and kill over it.

from the NYT. Sounds like pops is blaming the homos:

Labeling the attack an act of domestic terrorism, law enforcement officials said Mr. Mateen had called 911 once the attacks began and swore allegiance over the phone to the Islamic State.

But Mr. Mateen’s father suggested his son was motivated by a different hate. His father, Seddique Mir Mateen, told NBC News that his son had come across two men kissing in Miami recently and was infuriated that his three-year-old son had seen it, too.

“They were kissing each other and touching each other and he said, ‘Look at that. In front of my son, they are doing that,’ ” the elder Mr. Mateen said.

Please show me where I said open the borders and let everyone in. My point is that everyone has started acting like this guy came here when he was born here. Shutting the borders wouldn't have stopped him from coming here as he is a US citizen. However, when his *** got on a plane and went and hung out in a terrorist state for a while, it would have been nice if he had been put under more scrutiny. It is disheartening to hear that the FBI investigated him twice and were aware of him, but this still happened.

But will you vote Trump? Honest question because he is called a racist for knowing the FBI isn't competent enough to get a grip on this. They don't have a clue how to investigate and decide what is going on. For that reason he wants to stop letting more of these people here.

That is racist in America today!

I get your point on the fact he was born here, and there are several born here everyday that one day will hate America for certain reasons. Some just and others not. But you'll never explain why a man based in religion, that generally is against everything America is about, that is known by FBI as a possible threat but somehow gets away with this.

I'll put it this way, the govt also knows who some of the biggest drug dealers in the country are too, but we have been at war on drugs since the 80's.

I'm not religious either. I couldn't imagine killing or dying in the name of religion. Dumb AF if you ask me.

How many of us are doing that? That's only Muslims doing it. The Christians dying all around the world at the hands of Muslims and no one gives a **** about that or has a trendy hashtag.

The worst group that gets associated with Christianity is Westboro and those nuts have never harmed anyone.

The rest of the religions can get along with each other in the modern world. Muslims cannot and have not throughout the history of this world and will never change. What drives us crazy is the left's refusal to admit it.

No it's "religion" in general.

Everyone knows Christian grandmothers and Nissan moms are hella dangerous.

Over 60% of worldwide muslims believe in some form of sharia law according to several studies on the topic.. It's a barbaric and false religion that's why any normal individual not ate up in PC garbage can see it for what it is. Pure Evil. To hell with anyone trying to place them on the same level as Christians. Insane. Absolute delusion in the highest form.

And who gives them a run for their money? Mexican smugglers and Cartel, which has numbers in the 10's of thousands.

But by all means, please, just open the border.

Libby's better watch it seriously. This could easily backfire on them badly.

So what I've gathered so far from Liberals: a guy broke dozens of laws, yet if we had the government throw some more laws he would have stopped and obeyed them, the NRA is to blame not an Islamic Jihadist, that Obama doesn't know his motives even though the killer supposedly announced his allegiance to isis, that somehow the kkk shooting and this are related bc of Christians supposed persecution of others.

These people have mental disorders

His parents came here. They reproduced and birthed him. Closing the borders now won't stop this tomorrow. Hopefully, it will stop an attack in 29 years that might kill my grandkids.

Did our founders want the bill of rights to apply to individuals simply for a parent's ability to arrive and give birth? Why should such persons as Omar Mateen be equal to those who have toiled for America for multiple generations, descended from the colonies, descended from slaves?

You guys are so damn naive regarding M

We have a government where both the left and the right (sans Trump) is hell bent on letting free entry from 3rd world countries into the US and you want me to think gun restrictions are the answer?

People will never learn.

I have not read any posts in this thread except the last couple. I have a couple issues with the aftermath of this attack. Why are none of these terrorists ever turned in from those around them? (If they had it would definitely be in the news. They print times they are stopping battles among other things.) This is too strange to believe.

Then I read posts from some mentioning the long painstaking things they do such as give blood by waiting in line for hours. Sorry that doesn't compute when I compare it to terrorists never being turned in by those around them. (That type of carnage takes planning and has to be noticed by someone.)

Many of this country's citizens over the "centuries" of it's existence have given their lives defending this country or protecting its citizens. A couple well intention-ed pints of blood doesn't sway me in the least. Let me read about some of the terrorists neighbors turning them into the feds or fighting them off themselves and I will start thinking that supposed immigrants love this country. Until then...
