No I don’t believe that’s possible for the most part. I would say that the way the current system is designed it’s very difficult for even lower middle class people to afford healthcare and that’s really the problem.
I’m not saying I think people don’t deserve healthcare, I don’t believe that at all. What I believe is that if millions of people can get full healthcare for free then so should I. And vice versa, if I can’t get it then neither should they. It’s either a human right, free and available to all; or it’s a service that is expected to be paid for. It can’t be both. And it certainly can’t be one for one group and one for the other. You can’t have two sets of rules for people. I admittedly don’t know the answer to the healthcare dilemma but I know for sure that nothing is free and are in dire financial straits as a nation right now. The answer cannot be tax the middle class more, absolutely not. Which is an entirely different issue as to who would pay for it. Doctors and nurses aren’t working for free, diagnostics and drug companies aren’t working for free, corporations and wealthy people are avoiding taxes so who’s that leave?
