SHU really has a great remaining schedule

They have 5 games next 17 days. Away Creighton and DePaul are done by the first full weekend in Feb and then they get a good bye week near end of conf play before the away uconn game.

They also play reg season finale on a Friday night so they will essentially have a bye week heading to msg.

Would be great for team perimeter shot making to find a way back a bit.

Budd Clark needs to play a game and challenge himself to commit less than 2 fouls in the first half.

I do worry about the half court offense and the lack of ease and fluidity scoring is.

At some point gotta show as a team they can make 35 to 38 percent from out there or the season ceiling will be capped.

Clark not being able to shoot the 3 is a problem. He has attempted only 3 in the conference games total making 1. I don’t know what happened to AJSM either. He was our go to guy on offense and now he barely seems interested.

We need to sweep the bad teams at home. We already have 2 losses there and only 1 good team left at home.

You cannot abandon the 3. We basically already do and look where it’s getting us offensively.

The defense and depth will keep us in games but this offense needs tweaking. Good teams are taking it to us on our home floor.

Coach Holloway still has yet to unleash his point zone on defense. Hopefully this team can get more back door layups. This team needs to settle down more and run the offense instead of taking quick shots. One disadvantage of playing at the Rock is the teams shooting (depth perception compared to Walsh) and the limited ability to get practice time there. This team has probably the most heart and guts of any Pirate team I have seen in my lifetime (hence 1989 and 200). During the UConn game, I proceeded to call my fiancé when they were down by 18 but hung up the call before she answered as I sensed a Piarate run. Thank heavens she was sleeping! In Coach Holloway I trust, never doubt him has the naysayers did last year.
