Groenwold has apparently sprained an ankle last Saturday playing stickball and may not play tomorrow night. Has not practiced all week. He is is a walking boot. It’s a loss but still have faith in our boys to get it done.

It’s at home so that gives us an equivalent of 7-10pt advantage. So if the two teams are close then edge still goes to Swain. Murphy may knock us off. Who knows until tomorrow night. Who wouldn’t want to play in this one. Should be loads of fun to watch.

Reminds me of the game two seasons ago! I think Swain won that one 36-16. Heard they may move game to Saturday if weather is bad.

Get it done without Donavan!??? Highly doubt it!! When unz can't get tha end unz line him up at wideout to see if defense adjusts, if they don't on tha 2nd or 3rd time unz are passin tha ball to him on a 3rd and long!!! That is tha only offense unz got besides Isaiah Collins!! Collins is a hard football player that ain't scared to hit and could fill in and be alright but there is still a gap between him and Donavan!! I say unz get by on that tight end dump but it'll be 21+!! And I highly doubt there will be any native kids contributin to that awesome game tomorrow cause unz don't bank on us playin sports for unz!!! Hahaha!!!!!

10-6 Murphy. Murphy looks like some varsity dressed down for this one. Swain ran a kickoff back to score.

Murphy fumbled the kickoff. Swain recovered and went down the field to score. 12-10 Swain. 2pt conv failed. Miserably.

Did they catch the guy who held you up? Murphy punches it in from the 4yd line to go up 18-12. Swain's been beat a couple of times on long passes. They boy gets great position, but Murphy WRs out jump and catch it.

Murphy putting a good drive together and again the pass is their go to and we can't defend. They moved the ball down to the red zone and the pass is good on 4th and goal. Murphy up 24-12. 5:14 left. Ate a ton of clock on that drive.

Congrats to the jv dogs on the 2018 smc jv title. Murphy also won the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 jv titles. Murphy has only lost two jv games since 2012.

Congrats to Murphy. Swain jv just made too many mistakes and turnovers (3) to Murphy’s single turnover. By far the offensive execution was lacking in this one. Defensively our secondary lacked in pass coverage. DB and LB crew have got to get better coverage in space. Players did not even jump for 50/50 balls. Offensively I don’t know why we were in shotgun on our own two yard line which resulted in a safety. We spent the entire first have inside our own 20 yard line. Murphy did a good job with field possession. Average starting position for Swain was probably our own 20yard line. Theirs was probably the 50yard line. Good game but to me it did not live up to the competition or talent in the game two seasons ago. Talking about both teams.

murphy jv team last year was better than this one or 2016. And keep in mind this murphy jv team was playing without there starting fullback (laney) and preseason starting wingback (rumfelt). Plus mccracken on varsity. Theyll be a load on varsity when combined with that 2017 jv line.

It’s easy to say both teams aren’t as talented as 2 years ago when your son played on the team 2 years ago, am I right SwainDad ;)

Hard to believe the jv season is practically over already. Was anybody surprised with anything this year?

The score was closer than it showed. Swain scored at the end to make it that way. Watching #4 play was good, but they over used him. I wouldn't say Swain had an offense tonight as much as they tried to get it to him and let him make plays. Those toss running plays got too predictable. We had shots at some pass plays as well, but couldn't convert on most of the big ones.

Not really. Played out like we thought it would. I did think that we would beat Murphy. Just too many mistakes. I hope our boys finish with Robbinsville next week.
