I don’t know much about Louisburg but if I’m not mistaken we played them a few years back in the playoffs & won in a blowout! Hopefully the Vikes come prepared like they did last night. If they do it’ll be a long one for Louisburg!

If the Vikings play anywhere close to the way they’ve played the last few weeks, it’ll be a running clock. Do not mean any disrespect by this comment. Truthfully, they were probably the fourth best team in the east behind edenton and Princeton, but the way the drawing worked out, they were able to avoid those teams.

Louisburg does throw the ball a lot but I don't see them coming to Tarboro and winning. My prediction for this one is pretty simple, TARBORO

And it’s not like any 1A team plays a gauntlet of a schedule - outside of a few teams, 1A is weak.

Tarboro plays their rival Southwest Edgecombe that's always our toughest game. As was stated previously Tarboro had Rocky Mount and a solid out of state team on their schedule before covid-19 hit. Also judging by how washington and Northern Nash looked this year I hate we didn't play them.

Tbh, they still worry me with their passing offense. Our defense is still not as good as it was in 17 or 18. Really, one could say our defense in 19 may be better than this years defense. I doubt east surrys offense is as good as it was in 19.
I think If we are going to win another title soon, it’ll have to be this year, starting next year we take a step back as far as the talent goes. May be a few years since we are as talented as the last five teams have been.

I agree. East Surrys style of play and athleticism is the perfect combination to beat Tarboro.

Tarboros offense is just as good as it was last year. So with no turnovers I think they would have a hard time stopping us.

Our defense however is not as deep as last years defense, and I haven’t seen East Surry this year but there’s no way possible their offense is as good as they were last year.

There’s no way of knowing what will happen happen until you line up and play the game.

I'll make the case we might be better offensively. Our backfield is quick not to mention our o line has been raved on by our coaches.

2017 and 2018 Tarboro offense were incredible. I will say this should we get to the State title game (which I believe we will against East Surry most likely) this will be the best East Surry defense we have played.

East Surry is a much better team defensively than last year. They did lose a lot, but everybody just seems to play their assignments better than last year's defense. Quicker to the ball and getting into the backfield.

Offensively, they aren't what they were. They are a better rushing team this year. They have 2 backs that can gash you and use Gosnell for power formations.

Their passing attack is still really good, with the big difference being they could virtually take it to the house on any play last year. Their slip screen was a nightmare. This year is more 10 - 15 yard chunk plays down the field. They can take you apart on intermediate routes with 4 different recievers. They can still burn you deep with good speed, just not elite speed like last year. The younger Boaz has had some accuracy issues with the deep ball this season, although last night threw 3 perfect dimes on as many attempts. He is well ahead of where Jefferson was as a sophomore, but has a good ways to go from where Jefferson was last year.

As to how they would fare against Tarboro, won't really know. They have a very tough Polk team to try to get by first, and that won't be easy. If they can then we shall see.

I think you have a great chance against us. Don't really know anything about how Polk is. But I do expect a great game next week. Whoever wins has a tough test in front of them in the title game. Honestly don't know if a week will be long enough for either to prepare for Tarboro.

I would love an upset lol. That's why I'm not going ahead and automatically assuming it's going to be Tarboro versus East Surry again. Because any given Friday any team can be beaten.

I think Mitchell gave East surry their closest game all year last year. Robbinsville just beat us this year. I promise football in the west is way tougher. Look at the 1aa and 1a championship games last year. If it wasn’t for tarboro the East wouldn’t win any championships unless wrh came back down to 1aa. Name one other 1a or 1aa team in the East that could beat Mitchell, robbinsville, Murphy, or East surry.

I think from what I hear, Mount Airy will be a much better team since they met Tarboro in 2017. That depends on having a good QB. They do have a great QB coach and it's not the head coach.

Polk county gave hendersonville a tough game and hendersonville is playing in the 2a western regional final. Not saying East Surry will lose to polk county but they gotta play their best cause they ain't playing no joke.

East Surry is not Hendersonville. Polk will be playing a different team Friday and can't depend on a past game. If you have played East Surry in the past, it is not this year's ES team. Tarboro should know you don't know what to expect from East Surry. As of this week, East Surry would beat Hendersonville. They only beat Pisgah by 2, East Surry would beat them by 3 TDs this week.

Point is it's no guarantee Tarboro and East Surry will meet each other. I think we all believe that's gonna happen but believing it and having it actually happen are totally different things. Tarboro is not even thinking about East Surry or Polk county right now. We are focused on louisburg right now.

Tarboro received a gift when Cobb left SWE. Eric Duff, SWE's line coach joined the staff at THS. Eric is a damn great line coach. You will see great line play with him there, especially on offense. Even when the "talent" is down. He knows his ****, and running the power tee is right up his alley coming from a wishbone/wishbone veer background. Hopefully he gets copies of the playbooks and brings them back to 43 highway real soon, but I digress.

Murphy played a top 5 1a school twice(Rville)and a top 10(TJ)and 2 top 20s(Andrews)(Elkin).

Robbinsville played 1 top 5(Mitchell)
2 top 7(Murphy). 1 top 20(Andrews)

So after watching more on Louisburg they run a spread type offense! This should be REALLY interesting!
