If all goes well 5-7. We could be much better, but with this schedule you won't notice it by wins and losses.
Didnt HC Schiano say the opposite when he took over? That the team wasn't a dumpster fire that had to totally rebuilt?
Now after 3 years, all of a sudden he back tracks and says "it actually was really bad. I need more time"?
Regardless, this sounds awful like HC Ash taking over and "trashing" the team that got everyone so upset. I'm sure people will find some way to justify HC Schiano saying it.
I expect a slow start on the offense but seeing improvement game by game.7-5/1-11/3-9
We're still the Three And Niners until our offense shows a pulse against real competition.
What kind of egomaniacal loser quotes themselves? Hi @Plum Street !8-4/4-8/6-6 here
I'm a high ceiling/floor kind of fan. Can't see the floor being any lower, but who knows. My ceiling is a bit high,.
Ha not egomaniacal or a loser ….but I am
Well you got housed by me here. Your floor sucked.Ha not egomaniacal or a loser ….but I am
A legend ! @Knight Shift you should see what I predicted for rutgers basketball last year . Not legendary but just adds to the legend !
That is not surprising . This is what haters do. I just feel bad for the guy/gal who can ‘t get BTN .Ha... I just looked up this old thread to necro it... but you smart people beat me to it. It is a real shame that many of the haters chose to not participate.
This has held true! They have improved game by game on both sides of the ball.I expect a slow start on the offense but seeing improvement game by game.
Not surprising that you have the worst prediction in the thread...Until proven that we have a functioning offense, this season is 3-4 wins at best.
Stupid comment as usual. Do we have a functioning offense? D'uh.Not surprising that you have the worst prediction in the thread...
Doubling down on stupidity I see. Nothing "stupid" about my post - was simply stating a fact that you had the worst preseason prediction in this thread (or tied for it). And wtf does the offense have to do with predictions or our record? We're 6-2 and going to a bowl. Just man up and own your wrongness and get back on the Schiano bandwagon.Stupid comment as usual. Do we have a functioning offense? D'uh.
Come on.. he has a point. And I think we all were suspicious of the offense. I expected some improvement based solely upon addition by subtraction (of former OC). I expected Brown to be new OC's star.. did not foresee Monangai making such strides after he seemed to take a step back last year. I am not sure if last year's Brown (before injury) could top what Monangai has done. I hope I get to see Brown at top form alongside Monangai.Doubling down on stupidity I see. Stupid was a kind word. Your lack of reading comprehension paints all engineers in a bad light. Shame on you.Doubling down on stupidity I see. Well put and logical. Perhaps he will learn from your reply? Read, think, then post. LOL!Come on.. he has a point. And I think we all were suspicious of the offense. We still need Wimsatt to hit certain throws regularly. Once that happens.. with the current running game (including Gavin himself).. look out. It won't be just a "functioning offense".. it will be a great offense. We still need certain things to compete with teh big three... but everyone else is within spitting distance. And next year.. maybe there are 5-6 teams that would not be within reach except for epic underdog upsets.
But we DO have a functioning offense. If he had also predicted we would not.. then, maybe you have something.
Did he think he owed you some insulting post from something in another thread? I went and found this old thread (that had already been brought back up without my noticing) because of some negative comments in other more recent threads.. "people" (they could be real living trolls) minimizing the team's season and Wimsatt's great running game. I expected to find those same people predicting doom for Rutgers and Schiano.. but I was disappointed to find they did not bother making predictions. Hmmm... nah.. too much work for no good purpose to go back to the game by game predictions.Well put and logical. Perhaps he will learn from your reply? Read, think, then post. LOL!
Tripling down now? My reading comprehension is just fine - it's your thinking and writing that are what make you an embarrassment. Your preseason prediction said, "Until proven that we have a functioning offense, this season is 3-4 wins at best."Stupid was a kind word. Your lack of reading comprehension paints all engineers in a bad light. Shame on you.
Decade and counting without a D1 functioning offense.
Even worse - he said we didn't have a functioning offense 2 weeks ago, as per the other post I just made, clearly not having seen how much the offense had improved, despite the losses to UM and WI, where we were competitive for much of each game and the offense played decently for stretches (257 and 275 yards in each game, respectively, which is not fantastic, but is respectable), but we just made too many mistakes. Yes, our offense has significant room for improvement, but has already made significant improvements vs. past years.Come on.. he has a point. And I think we all were suspicious of the offense. Probably. He's a sensitive soul and takes everything personal. I'm sure he jumped into the thread looking for an A'HA to crow about. Sadly for him, he didn't read the post properly. Hopefully he will learn a valuable lesson.Did he think he owed you some insulting post from something in another thread?
We do have a functioning offense. Your prediction in the prediction thread was that we would not have a functioning offense, and as a result the ceiling was 3-4 wins. That's how predictions work. So your prediction was very wrong.Stupid comment as usual. Do we have a functioning offense? D'uh.
Nice try, words matter:We do have a functioning offense. Your prediction in the prediction thread was that we would not have a functioning offense, and as a result the ceiling was 3-4 wins. That's how predictions work. So your prediction was very wrong.
+1So weird posters have reading comprehension issues with this thread. I caveated my prediction the same way. I am very happy I was wrong. We do have a functioning offense (thanks to Flaherty). So glad to have him here. The rest is still a WIP but improving game by game. My wish for the rest of the season is to continue to get better and be competitive. One more win would be very nice (especially if PSU).
I would have predicted 69 wins this season. So I'm kind of sorry I didn't participate.Ha... I just looked up this old thread to necro it... but you smart people beat me to it. It is a real shame that many of the haters chose to not participate. **note: we are currently surpassed my prediction (5-7) and 1-win away from my ceiling (7-5).
my ceiling was 5 with 6 if balls fall our way, teams have down years etc but not due to Greg
I was right!
Somehow...we have the 5th highest scoring team in the entire conference. And if anyone wants to say- well, how about ST's that has helped. next closest is 2 pts per game behind us and all the rest are almost a TD a game behind us.Stupid comment as usual. Do we have a functioning offense? D'uh.
Hmmm.. it could easily be taken as UNTIL meaning we do not now have one. While in preseason no one knew if we would have one, the common consensus was that it literally could not be any worse.Nice try, words matter:
