This would be a nice game to win. It will look better on paper in March than it really was. It will keep the NET in a solid place and most
Important add to the win total. However, this won't be easy, and I actually would lean towards K-State in this one. First, this is The Hall's first true road game and the first as a group. K-State can shoot the three and are a good offensive team. I believe how the game is officiated could be the difference. Will we see a replay of the USC game? I would not be surprised if SHU win. The Hall's defense may limit K-State's production. Should be a close contest either way.

Agree on all accounts. Big resume game whether it ultimately is Q1 or Q2 as OOC Road Wins are looked on very favorably.

How will our guys respond to their first true Road environment? Will the guys who are banged up be 100% - AJ, Williams, Hines, which version of Fisher will we get?

Now that there is plenty of tape on us from Feast Week, will KState be better prepared for our pressure. They've lost 3 straight and seem like a collection of good offensive players still trying to figure out defense and the right lineup. Hopefully they don't figure it out tomorrow. Their offensive weapons make them very dangerous but I think we can pull out a close one. SH 75-73

In 1940, Seton Hall played Kansas State only once, on December 30, winning 34-29, a victory that was part of the Pirates' historic 41-game winning streak spanning 1939-1941, making it a significant early matchup between the two programs.

This will not be easy, Bowling Green aside. It’s a tough environment to play in if the “Octagon of Doom” is full and the stands re packed. The arena did not look full nor loud vs BGSU.

Was that score from 1940 or 2024? 😂

So happy that last year is past us. Today is the most excited I’ve been for a SHU game in quite some time.

I saw some highlights vs Bowling Green and there were tons of empty seats on the ends. Sound familiar. Not sure, but the interest looks to be on their football program right now. They don't seem to be a big physical team at first glance, more like a more talented version of Central Conn. St. If The Hall can keep it close and stay out of extreme foul trouble, the expanded SHU rotation might be a factor. Hopefully, confidence over road nerves today.

Jerome Tang has challenged his players effort and toughness following Bowling Green. He apologized to their fans for not giving adequate effort.

Says he plays a 4 guard lineup to get ball movement and good shots but they were selfish and only had 11 assists while getting out-efforted on rebounds and defense.

Their All-American PJ Hagerty can take over a game but has struggled his last 2 games. In their first 6 games he averaged 28.0 points - 5.3 rebounds - 6.3 assists - 56% FG - 41% 3FG.

In their last 2, both double-figure losses, he averaged 16.5 pts - 3.5 rebs - 2.0 asts - 35.1% FG - 16.7% 3FG.

He's a versatile player who can score in many different ways. We have to pressure him without fouling as he's very good at drawing fouls. Not Ezra Ausar-level but we can't let him get 8-10 free points at the line.

Small announced crowd of 6900 vs BG on a Monday night. Would think they should have better crowd for late afternoon Saturday tip against a Big East opponent. No football game.

It’s all about discipline, focus, and execution kind of like using any tool correctly, even something like an injector for iOS, where precision matters just as much as performance.
Jerome Tang’s comments make it clear that effort and toughness need to improve, especially after getting outworked on rebounds and defense. Running a four guard lineup only works when the ball moves, and with just 11 assists, the team clearly wasn’t playing unselfishly. PJ Hagerty is still dangerous, but his recent slump shows that pressure and smart defense can throw him off his rhythm. The key will be defending him aggressively without giving up easy free throws, because he can shift momentum fast.

Well, who do we root for Saturday— KState to help SHU metrics directly or Creighton to help overall league metrics that certainly need help.
I thought the same yesterday and decided I’m rooting for K St. Im still bitter about that 3OT loss from 2024.
