that's why it would really suck to be an Alabama fan right now

I love being a State fan, as frustrating and heartbreaking as it can be, because my team can actually win games they shouldn't (come on DAN). That's the fun of it, right? Hell the Gator bowl was surprising in the domination displayed. The win on Florida's home turf over dickcheese was great. Even the Croom years - beating Bama, ole miss, and that epic Florida game. Those were surprising and satisfying games, and that is what makes being a fan fun. These poor ******** at alabama, what exactly do they have to look forward to? At least in recent times, they don't have the opportunity to experience the joy of an upset, because they are never the underdog. All they have is the blowouts, the anxiety in close games, and the worst; getting upset by a less talented team. Where the hell is the fun in that? I get that they have their identity tied up with this team, and that's probably all those poor ******* have, but it doesn't sound particularly enjoyable.

This is why Saban will soon leave. What else is there to accomplish?? NC expectations every year??? No one can live up to that.

Got to show this to my wife, just to prove that other men string together many many cussing words to make a sentence. It's all funny when it ain't you that's stringing em together.

it isn't the NC expectations ...it is the expectation that you have to be perfect or it isn't good enough that drove Urban Meyer from Florida and the fact his family hated who he has become ...I don't think Saban gives a damn what his family thinks though

Two standout:

1) Between this and the election, it's the worst year for Alabama since 1865.

2) catching my wife with the gardener would be prime time entertainment compared to this aids infested **** fest.

Saban doesn't always live up to what other people think about him.

Jody Wright is at Alabama. If you happen to see him ask him what he thinks of Saban. Then ask him what he thinks of our Bulldawg's mighty savior Dan "The Man" Mullen.

Joe Judge was at Alabama (now with the Patriots) and he'll tell you the same about Saban.

You are correct, sir. Jody has told me several times that working for Saban is incredible, and that he is "fair". On the other hand, he hated working for Mullen so much that he took a step down from his job at State to become a GA at Bama. Granted, Jody grew up a huge Alabama fan, but it's a fact that Mullen is sometimes very hard to work with. HOWEVER, I think he has gotten a lot better than he was in his first two years.

It's not just Jody, though - Reed Stringer couldn't get away from Starkville fast enough. He grew up a State fan, but he hates Mullen.

Now, to be clear, I think Mullen is great. He just has a very strong personality that some have found too hard to work with.
